Good point. Most (not all) seem to do what they want and not what you ask for. And, it's not just a Thailand thing, it applies to the UK also.

As a long serving ex serviceman this is something I've followed quite closely and it's only my personal opinion but I think we're closer to WW3 than any other time that I can remember. Regards are we safe in Thailand, as a previous poster said, no, not if the button is pushed. And, also only my personal opinion but if anyone is prone to push it first, it'll be Putin.

Well, every day is a school day. That's certainly not the case with Non O annual extension of stay though. They just change it over for you.

You should change it over really. Both me and "she who must be obeyed" did ours in the last 12 months and it was completely painless. Just go to Immigration, fill out a form and bobs your uncle.
