  1. My Knee MRI at Hua Hin Government Hospital cost 9k a couple of years ago.
  2. And they used to call us the Bitter Blues! Ha ha ha ha ha, breathe, ha ha ha ha ha! Keep filling your car up, you're helping us buy another player!
  3. Correct, we've already got Alvarez to replace him if and when it does ever happen!
  4. From a different angle, and no disrespect intended, it's refreshing to hear that they're hunting 2 Scots and not 2 Brits. From my experience of 12 years here, every time Thais hear the term Brits they automatically think English! So, good on the Thai press for not saying Brits!
  5. I can't remember if I read it or heard it in an interview many years ago but wherever it was, the theme was that everyone has a book in them but just don't know how to put it into words. Completely agree with this as I've led such a varied life both as a civilian and in the military that I reckon there's a book there. Would I know how to put it into words, no! That's why people have ghost writers who get all the information out of them.
  6. Was, was, was...
  7. Yeh, same same. However, some still do what they want. In my early days in LOS whilst still searching for one that did exactly what I said (same as my pic) I decided to only pay half of what he asked for. He threatened me with calling the police. I told him to call them and I'll show them the pic and then the butchery he'd performed. Typical response here of "sorry, sorry"! I eventually found a female who does it perfectly and the bonus is, she has a derriere you can't take your eyes off!
  8. Good point. Most (not all) seem to do what they want and not what you ask for. And, it's not just a Thailand thing, it applies to the UK also.
  9. If you're legal, shouldn't make a difference!
  10. As a long serving ex serviceman this is something I've followed quite closely and it's only my personal opinion but I think we're closer to WW3 than any other time that I can remember. Regards are we safe in Thailand, as a previous poster said, no, not if the button is pushed. And, also only my personal opinion but if anyone is prone to push it first, it'll be Putin.
  11. Thanks Mike. Well it certainly isn't a State Pension so I think it will be!
  12. Mike, I receive a UK Armed Forces Pension. I presume this would be classed as a UK Government Pension? Am I correct?
  13. Happens all over the world. Frustrating but a fact of life! Suck it up as it'll never change!
  14. Oh ffs, with his abysmal command of the English language and what seems to be a complete lack of intellect, he wouldn't be teaching my kids! If I had any that is!
  15. Pathetic. How gullible do you really think people are?
  16. What an absolute w4nk post! Personally I think he was bored and just dreamt something up to put on here and is just attention seeking. He's answered none of the pertinent questions that have been asked and is probably sitting back and laughing at the comments and thinking how clever he is! Numpty.
  17. Exactly. I've been here 11 years and some of my friends longer and I've never heard of any of them having to carry an expired passport. That's just ludicrous!
  18. Well, every day is a school day. That's certainly not the case with Non O annual extension of stay though. They just change it over for you.
  19. Weird, so you have to constantly travel with your new passport and your expired one with the visas in it...???
  20. If you mean "extensions of stay" I beg to differ. They certainly do.
  21. You should change it over really. Both me and "she who must be obeyed" did ours in the last 12 months and it was completely painless. Just go to Immigration, fill out a form and bobs your uncle.
  22. Yes, both me and the missus have done ours in the last 12 months at Hua Hin. Completely painless.
