  1. "The customer is always right" doesn't mean what you (and many other customers) think it means.
  2. I use 3BB and have not noticed any issues. Still getting good speeds to Europe and the US.
  3. I'd recommend everyone to check out the longer video in this post. It's an awful occurence, but not nearly as one-sided as some are making it out to be. I
  4. Absolutely no vacuum. Never, ever vacuum a computer. It can build up an elecrostatic chock that can ruin the whole thing. I've worked in computer repair and have seen it happen countless times. Doubtlessly, some individuals are going to chime in and say they've vacuumed their computers for 85 years without issue, but you wouldn't listen to a nutjob who says there's no issue with riding your motorcycle without a helmet, and neither should you listen to these people.
  5. "Top Thai politician attacked 14 year old son with gender issues" The missing keyword here is "allegedly". I'm not doubting the kid's story, but you can't write headlines like this. It's extremely dishonest and unproffessional.
  6. And if my grandma had wheels she could've been a bicycle.
  7. Couldn't agree more. Go medieval on this monster.
  8. Good web developers don't seem to be Thailand's forté. Though I will say that this new website for 90 day reports has worked flawlessly. Don't know of any official sources promoting this site, but other members are likely to come back it up if you're unsure about it.
  9. This is the website: https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/login Create an account and follow the instructions.
  10. I thought it said he had two rifles?
  11. Yes, that has been my point throughout this topic.
  12. Alright, I give up. PayPal is a big meanie and are barring you and other expats in Thailand from their service out of spite, laziness, incompetence, and malice. They could easily make their services available to us, but would rather lose that income for the reasons above. It's probably some sort of conspiracy as well.
  13. There's a ton of different places to buy chicken and groceries besides Tesco, Big C, Makro, and 7/11.
  14. This is such a brave post. Literally getting chills and goosebumps over here.
  15. Easier said than done, and we don't know what level of KYC the Thai authorites now demand. And if leaving the accounts in Singapore and still letting them be connected to Thai bank accounts was an option, you can bet your ass they would've done it. PayPal wants as many customers as possible; that's how they make money. They have zero reason to arbitrarily cut people off.
  16. And they are doing this to mess with people or due to the laws and regulations of Thailand? Why aren't they adopting the same policies everywhere if they are so hell-bent on alienating potential customers? Can you really expect PayPal to open offices all over Thailand for ID verification purposes (rather than relying on doing it electronically with a system that Thailand has only made available for Thai people)? How many hoops can they be expected to jump through to service a comparatively small number of expats in Thailand? In your view, is PayPal just arbitrarily messing with people or are there perhaps reasons beyond their control?
  17. Are people seriously so mind-numbingly stupid that they think this is PayPals decision? Do you think that they singled out Thailand and said, "Yeah, let's make it harder for people trying to use our service there, but not anywhere else"? Could it be something other than PayPal, forcing them to make these requirements if they want to remain active in any form in the country?

    Circumcision

Don't have your kid mutilated. Let him decide for himself when he's old enough.
  19. Reminded me of this classic: "There's a fleck on the speck on the tail On the frog on the bump on the branch On the log in the hole in the bottom of the sea"
  20. Holy <deleted>, "wasn't intentional". Who the hell cares? Pay up and make whoever is responsible for the mistake personally reimburse the bank.
  21. And they're connected to the same Wi-Fi network? Not one to 2,4 GHz and the other to 5 Ghz, or the pc through an ethernet cable?
  22. Does a driver actually pop up on the screen and then disappear? If not, it doesn't sound like the drivers are actually refusing your order. I was under the impression that they were automatically assigned orders based on their location, and they might suffer some sort of penalty if they refuse assigned orders too many times.
  23. No, it's not appropriate. No shirt is okay at the beach or at the pool, but pretty much nowhere else. People who walk around in public places without a shirt is looked down upon, and rightly so.
  24. I use Notifier for Gmail.
