  1. I have written in my last will that my corpse would be donated to science. No costs. That's the easiest and the best solution. I don't get it why people are attached to a corpse after the person dies. Most of them, have never taken time to be with that person or even write him/her a few letters when he/she was alive.
  2. The price for a health insurance above 65 is enormous compared to health care in most places in your own country or even countries neighboring Thailand. And most people of 65 years of age have already existing diseases which are NOT COVERED by any health insurance in Thailand. About the rest of the OP, it's complete bulls.t and I don't even want to answer that drivel.
  3. I don't have an EV, but I would like to know if they are sold with a portable electric generator on diesel or do you need to buy it yourself,?
  4. Thai people are grown up with superstitious beliefs and taboos. Some are still believed to be true, and some are now used to tease friends. Giving a gift is a nice gesture but some items have negative meaning especially to your relationship. Here are 10 presents some Thai people might consider bringing bad luck; 1. Shoes รองเท้า /rawng – táao/ If you buy shoes for your girlfriend or boyfriend, it is believed that it will cause the break up because shoes need to be in pair, a couple who are dating but not living together could be cursed to go different ways. 2. Black clothes เสื้อผ้าสีดำ /sûea-pâa sǐi dam/ This item is frightening. Do not give black clothing because ancient Thai people consider black as the colour of pain and sadness used for mourning. If you give a black cloth to someone, you will go to that person’s funeral. 3. Watch / Clock นาฬิกา /naa-lí-gaa/ It is believed that if your loved one gives you a watch or clock, your relationship might be over like the clock stops ticking. 4. Perfume น้ำหอม /náam-hăwm/ As Thai people like to say if you don’t believe it, don’t disparage it. Many Thai think giving perfume to your partner could make your love lessen like the scent of the perfume that is fade away over time. 5. Photograph of Yourself รูปถ่าย /rûup-tàai/ Another thing that you absolutely don’t want to give to your darling is the photo of yourself because giving a photo for memory when you are apart. 6. Handkerchief ผ้าเช็ดหน้า /pâa-chét-nâa/ Thai believe that handkerchief is used for wiping tears, so someone who receives a handkerchief as a gift will lose their tears. If you don’t want your beloved to cry, avoid giving this item. 7. Sharp objects ของมีคม /kăwng mii kom/ It is believed that giving sharp objects as a gift will bring the receiver danger, bad luck. 8. Comb หวี /wǐi/ Thai people compare relationship to the teeth of a comb, you don’t want to go apart like the comb’s teeth. 9. Brooch เข็มกลัด /kĕm-glàt/ A brooch is a beautiful accessory but Thai believe that giving a brooch is like stabbing that person’s heart, creating pain and argument. 10. Glassware เครื่องแก้ว /krûeang gâew/ It is a common gift. Superstition has it that if the glassware is broken it means the relationship is also destroyed. Some Thai people give a small amount of money like one Baht or ten Baht to a person who gives the present as if they purchase it, so it doesn’t bring them bad luck. Gift Giving Tips: If you are given a gift, it is considered rude to rip the wrapping paper. Carefully remove the wrapping, fold and set aside. Flowers is appropriate gift. Avoid marigolds or carnations as they are associated with funerals or lotus as it is used for worship Buddha image. Many male readers ask about my gift ideas for a special someone. Here are some suggestions what ladies like; Diamonds are a girl’s best friends! If you look for a special gift, a pair of small diamond earrings or a necklace with a diamond pendant is a lovely way to express your eternal love to your significant other. Good quality beauty products such as Tom Ford lipstick, Dior eyeshadow palette, Chanel powder blush etc. It is nice to embrace natural beauty but makeup is fun! A pretty handbag. For women, purses are like friends, you can’t have too many! Roses are always sweet thing. Whether you give the full dozen or just a single stem, roses say “I Love You” like no other flower. Lastly I would like to note that love doesn’t equal expensive gifts, the price tag on the gift you buy doesn’t matter for a recipient. Just show your love by making everyday special – cooking a nice meal for them, giving a compliment how beautiful they look, ask “how are you – really?”, saying magical words “thank you”, “I’m sorry” and forgive their mistakes. I wish you all the best ,joy ,happiness and love! https://learnthaiwithmod.com/2015/02/10-gifts-you-shouldnt-give-to-your-loved-one/
  5. The Dutch coast guard said Thursday the cause of the blaze was unknown, while Dutch media reported that the battery of an electric care started the fire. https://www.dw.com/en/burning-ship-off-dutch-coast-has-more-e-cars-than-thought/a-66375203#:~:text=A spokesperson for the company,Japanese manufacturers were on board.
  6. Wasn't there a ship full of EV's burning recently?
  7. I would like to see an official and reliable comparison between EV and LPG/NGV burned vehicles. Anyway, LPG burning vehicles were not allowed to park in covered places.
  8. Way back, about 15 years ago, I modified my car to run on LPG. Although everything was done according to the rules, I was told that from now on I was not allowed to park my car in a covered parking space or some public places as LPG tanks could explode. Fast Forward to 2023 and a vast amount of EV are being parked in shopping Mall's and other public places and they are even offered charging poles. How can it be that LPG was considered a danger while EV's are burning by the dozen? Even in the knowledge that when an EV start to burn, it mostly burns out completely because there is not adequate material available to extinguish the fire. The whole EV brainwashing is waiting for a disaster in a mall somewhere where it starts to burn and ignites a domino effect in the parking lot. Uneblievable but true.
  9. Let me guess..... You are the stand-up comedian in service and try to make everybody laugh with your stupid joke from the barstool somewhere in Pattaya?
  10. There were no chilled or frozen products in my cart. Only bread and vitamilk in packs
  11. While most of the outlet stores can blame Covid for their difficulties, big-c seems to be causing their own demise. Long before Covid they got rid of their fine meat (salami, etc) department. The same with many other departments. But cutting the amount of available cashiers was the final drop for me.
  12. I was watching a YouTube clip in Facebook, shot at an ALDI store in the UK. Apparently the store was not accepting cash money anymore and this guy was paying cash money and walking out of the store claiming that they could call the police if they were not pleased. Is this True or staged? Is ALDI refusing cash payments?
  13. Big-c outlet near Terminal 21 was going down the gutter since the beginning of this year. It started with reducing their products and leaving some parts of their store blank. Then the prices went up and the trip to big-c was not worth doing it. Since about 8 months, their discounted products were less available and not worth the price. Today, I was in Terminal 21 and needed some groceries. As usual, I went to Big-c. Everything was rearranged again and the fresh products department was as big as a 7/11 store. Not many people buying there anymore. When I went to the cashiers, I could not believe what I saw. The cashiers were reduced to 3 cashiers line and the customers were lining up to 8 people. I left my cart at the place and walked away from Big-c. That was the end of Big-C for me.
  14. For this kind of people, there is only 1 good deterrent: Forced working for life in camps and give all they have to the child for medical and physical care.
  15. Was the motorbike having WORKING rear light, or did they took the bulb out because the ghosts may follow them? Seen many time on the roads and luckely I could each time avoid an accident.
  16. I know a lady in Korat who needs a "balloon" surgery in the Maharat, on a 30 baht sheme, and she is told that she have 2 choices: 1. There is a wait list for that surgery from 4 months. So, go home, and if you had no heart attack in that time, we can maybe do the surgery. 2. Pay for the surgery (not 30 baht) and we can do it this week. End of this silly discussion for me.
  17. Helping somebody in Thailand can bring you into hot waters. Not only the "help" but the REAL danger that the person who has been helped may turn into you and accuse you for causing the injuries. Would not be the 1st time and would not be the last time here. Even (REAL CASE), being "a friend of someone" can get you into deep waters when that person is in trouble and he list you as his friend.
  18. 30 baht is only for the basic healthcare. If you need surgery or some serious healthcare you better have some $$$$
  19. At 69 years old, I am not looking for a new relation now. But when I will be too old to take care of myself, I will look for a young girl in the 20 - 25 years range and marry her to screw the pension funds. I will have fun to see the pension funds paying every month to her $$$$$.
  20. Not condoning what happened, but I can understand that the 2 man dumped her instead of calling an ambulance and have to foot the hospital bill for that woman. Happens everywhere in Thailand.
  21. Was he an English citizen? The name sounds like English, from London.
  22. With Thaiksin knowledge about his enemies in Thailand andd the "Mai Pen Rai" attitude of his return, I fear that Thailand will repeat the murdering at the airport like in the Philipinne.
  23. Now I understand why they print on car batteries to not drink the battery fluid ... Thank you Tik-Tok for showing us that human knowledge is really going backwards.
