  1. I've heard that there will be a Condominium free in Dubai next month. Might be a good place to retire now that he still can.

  3. That means that in case she would be get judged, she will be allowed to give birth to the child and then she will be transferred to the woman jail in Bangkok until the child had a certain age. Many woman in that jail.
  4. I was hospitalized in urgency last year with high fever, losing conciousness, a.o. symptoms. After about 2 hours of testing by different doctors, it was diagnosed that Galstones were blocking my Bladder. I stayed at the hopsital 9 days. During my stay at the hospital, I got an offer for Laparoscopy (4 days stay at the hospital) for 25,000 THB. My doctor gave his VETO on this surgery and it was not carried out. The hospital was the Fort Suranaree in Korat.
  5. I posted long time ago a similat question as I have put money in a Thai bank for my Visa extension and want to move the money out of Thailand now with minimal losses. I contacted DeeMoney and raised the question. Their answer was: - How much is the fee and other expenses to move these funds? : The transfer free fee is THB 133.75 Nett per time per transaction. The transfer free fee is the flat fee rate. - Will the funds be moved directly from Thailand to Belgium or will the funds first be converted to Thai Baht on the withdrawing and from Thai baht to Euro on the transfert to Europe? : We transfer the money from Thai Baht to currency as per the recipient's country. For Belgium is available for a Euro currency. The payment will settle by your Thai Mobile Banking application at the end of process. So, that means that they will do 2 exchanges before shipping out the funds to Belgium. A quick calculation: 50.000 Euro x 36.459 = 1.822.950 THB 1.822.950 ThB / 37,639 = 48,832 EUR Difference: 50,000 - 48,832 = 1.168 EUR This means that you lose 1.168 Euro (42.548 THB) in the transaction on top of the fees. Think about that before transferring your money to Thailand.
  6. The OP is about the way Thailand is heading to and not about how you make your payments. If you are happy with this evolution, skip this thread and move on to the next thread. But asking a Thai ID-Card number for every basic service is not a good evolution. - I want to look TV, can only after introducing your THAI id-card number, - I want to make a complaint, can only after introducing your THAI id-card number, More and more basic services are switching to the THAI id-card certification. The ATM's are being equiped with a THAI id-card reader and will soon allow any transaction ONLY if you have a THAI id-card. Many ASEANNOW members are posting about difficulties with opening a bank account in Thailand. Not a good move for the foreigners.
  7. Untill 2011, I was paying all my bill's lile that. Mostly at the nearby 7/11. But after the big flooding, where all my bill's got lost I quit paying like this and started paying at my bank. The reason was that I NEVER skipped a payment but, after the big flooding, TOT started to ask for unpaid bills. Not only me, but several others in Korat. As my proof of payments were all destroyed, I had to pay the last 3 months again. That was the day I switched to TRUE and started to pay almost everything at the bank.
  8. I was a True member since years, and practically had no problems with them. I am subsribed to their TrueMove package which offers a Fiber modem, a basic TrueVisions package and a free Sim Card for about 850 Bath. Last month, the problems started. Normally I get every month a bill in my postbox, which I can scan and pay by the bank. But last month, I got no "paper bill", only a SMS bill. Following the link on SMS, I was presented with a screen asking to enter a THAI ID-CARD number. As I am not a Thai citizen, I could not access my OWN BILL. Went to the True shop, and they told me that True is moving away from "Paper" bills and I should instead pay at their shop in the "money eating machines". I told the shop that I was not pleased with that "new" way of billing and if I didn't received a paper bill next month I would simply not pay. Last week, I wanted to look TV (foreign news channels) and when I turned the TV on, I was presented with the screen message "Enter your Thai ID-Card number" (see 1.jpg). As I am not a Thai citizen, I tried several others things. Like entering my Thai-citizen ID number which I had reaceived from the Morpho app (Vaccination). But everything was refused and they asked for the Thai ID-card number which was registrered with the TrueVision Card and which was registrered by the True technician (see 2.jpg). So, I tried to send an email asking for the ID number that was registrered with my TrueVision box. But I could not even send an email, because in order to complain I should enter, YES, a f....g Thai ID-card number. Will go look for another provider this week. .
  9. Is a "Happy Ending" included in the massage? I feel always like heaven after the "Happy Ending". Not so much after the massage.
  10. Even this all will not help you to avoid scammers. I ordered on Lazada an external harddisk, 2 terrabyte, filled with (Thai) movies and songs. A list of the movies and the songs was on the Lazada seller site. I ordered one, and after 4 days received the package. Before paying, I opened the package and took pictures of the items (External HD, USB cable, purse to store the disk, etc.) Connecting it to my spare-computer (no hard disk), I noticed directly the small amount of movie/songs. I ran a test program on the hard disk, and the program showed me the it was a 60gb hard disk on which the FAT was tampered to show 2 TB. Asked a refund from Lazada and showed the scam. Lazada connected with the seller, a lady who was selling the hard disk for a Chinese company and the seller gave me prompt a full refund asking me to give her a bad score as selling online was her only income.
  11. They were foreigners and illegal in the country. Case closed. As soon as their nationality is known, Thai authorities will send the bill to that country.
  12. WashingtonCNN — A Fidelity fund has slashed its estimate of Twitter’s value amid ongoing chaos at the company, implying the social media platform may be worth only a third of its value compared to when Elon Musk acquired it in October. According to a monthly disclosure, Fidelity’s Blue Chip Growth Fund reported that its stake in Twitter was worth $6.55 million at the end of April. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/05/31/tech/twitter-value-fidelity-estimate/index.html
  13. I read many times, and read the advice from medical pages, to urinate on stings from a Jellyfish. Are they all wrong?
  14. The way this chap is sitting (LAYING) in has chair in a police station makes me wonder why the police is being so calm.
  15. From your desctiption, it looks that you have a Chinese tampered hard disk. Those kind of hard disk are aold on the market as (for example) 500 GB disks but are in reality 60GB disks in which the allocation table has been changed. I had one of these froom Lazada, filled with Thai movies and sings, but none of them were able to play. When I removed the sticker and typed the Serial number of the case, it came out to be an old Toshiba 60 GB hard disk. There are several programs on the internet, a lot of them are freeware, to detect if your hard disk/memory card is genuine or not.
  16. Most of the existing programs are available for free on the internet. I switched from Microsoft Office to Libre Office and I am very happy with it.
  17. Like I said already, switching to Windows 10 moght give you free updates (if your PC/Notebook is able to run Windows 10) but it will mean also that a lot of existing software might stop to run. My computer switched from Wiindows 7 to Windows 10 and a lot of software I was using almost daily didn't work anymore.
  18. All these countries on your list are fake democracies. Example: Belgium is a country I know very well and where 99% of the people voted for a Right wing party 4 years ago, but instead are governed by a mixture of Left wing parties. Germans people are dissatisfied for the same reason, being governed by an incompetent green party. It's not because it's written in some website that it is TRUE.
  19. I can imagine that the hospital is still running an older version of Windows because of the third party software and this particular version of Windows is not supported by MS anymore.
  20. I have even seen an ATM machine in Bangkok running on "Windows for Workgroups". No kidding.
  21. Today, I went to a "middle class" hospital in Khorat for stomach ache (it is not allowed to mention the real name). Everywhere, there were screens displaying the queue numbers at the different departments, screens displaying their packages on sale, etc. But every screen was showing a pop-up window at the middle of the screen saying that they were running an illegal version of Windows and in the bottom-right a pop-up message was showing the version of Windows and the text to "update" their version. This is not limited to Khorat and I have seen the same thing in many places. Even on ATM machines. Khorat has a few good universities and one of them has even developped their own version of Linux which is pretty good. As fas as I know, Khon Kaen has also their own version of Linux and is also pretty good. I have seen the staff and the students writing Linux programs, and they were pretty good at it. They surely could write a simple program that display the queue numbers. I can not think of a logical reason why a big hospital or an ATM company is risking all kind of legal procedures while they could have a better operating system and better programs locally. Do you?
  22. He will start selling amulets to his followers and he will the 200,000 Bhat very quick. No problem. TIT
