  1. I did my marriage extension at CM about 3 weeks ago with a 2 year old KR 2 (not a KR 22) with no problems what do ever. In fact 2 years ago the immigration officer we dealt with actually gave me back to original stamped copy and told me go and photocopy it and keep the original for the following year.
  2. Perhaps you need to be a good person to truly appreciate what is good about Thailand?
  3. The greatest British chat show host of them all. R.I.P.
  4. No. For the most part I have always found them to be very understanding of my potential ignorance to their cultural ways.
  5. I had mine mailed to me for 60 baht back in June. I would imagine this hasn't changed since then.
  6. Do you mean your phone's personal hotspot? If so, just got to your phone's settings, do a search for hotspot and it should display the phone's username and password under configuration or similar. Obviously you have to turn it on as well.
  7. Some Farangs might encourage their Thai spouse to have a "prolonged absence"
  8. You've jinxed it now! We also have an Electrolux kettle which is about three years old. It has out lived all the previous kettles that I have owned in 14 years of living in Thailand. And that includes a 2000 baht one I bought from Power buy which died within a year.
  9. I might be mistaken but I think he has problems with his kettle, not his old fella...
  10. Ceramic is safer than Teflon.... Apparently!
  11. There is only a small percentage of Thais that are interested in foreigners. Basically the ones who choose to travel and then work in the places where foreigners tend to gather. The wolves follow the sheep... The majority have zero interest in us because they have way more interesting things to occupy themselves. We are completely irrelevant within their lives.
  12. Attached is the current requirements from Bangkok's immigration office. However, your local immigration office may do things a little differently... For example, I transferred my extension stamps to my new British passport earlier this year at the Chiang Mai office. But I didn't need a certificate from the embassy and the application form was completely different from the Bangkok one.
  13. Perhaps you are one of those people who is determined to find fault with everything, no matter what.
  14. He has a built up shoe for the shorter leg?
  15. It's the nursing of the hangover that causes people to be lazy the following morning.
  16. I'm always trying to relive my youth. The problem is I no longer get asked to prove my age when I buy some booze... In fairness, I'm still exactly the same person I was then only my hair is a little greyer.
  17. They much prefer to buy meat from the local markets because the thousands flies crawling over it apparently adds extra flavor.
  18. Get a dog. They are notoriously not fond of postmen and enjoy chasing them down the street.
  19. Incredibly lucky that no one was killed. But having a firework factory in what appears to be a residential area doesn't seem to be the greatest idea.
  20. My wife. My grandson. My ageing toy poodle. Thai food....mostly. The fact that Thais don't really need an excuse for a party. Karaoke.....Oh wait, what I'm I saying!!!
  21. I don't actually hate anything. However, I do dislike the following... The appalling standard of driving on the roads. How so few people are big enough to accept the blame for their mistakes. Thai interpretations of western food. Pizza is a classic example. Lao Khao, of any bootleg alcohol that is responsible for so many meaningless deaths every year. Thai soap operas.
  22. I've still got one stapled in my passport. I haven't been outside of Thailand since 2016.
  23. Brilliant! That's exactly what I needed to know. Thanks a lot. ????
  24. I'm just about to start getting everything together to renew my marriage extension and it's suddenly dawned on me that my new, two month old passport only has about 5 pages that need to be photocopied. The transfer stamps, main ID page, 90 day, arrival card and TM 30. Now as we know, immigration love lots and lots of photocopies! So, can someone kindly confirm whether or not I need to photocopy all the pages in my old passport for this extension? Logically I shouldn't have to..... For the record, I will be renewing in Chiang Mai. Thanks in advance.
