  1. Well no because the many amulets located in their vehicles and about their persons will protect them a lot of the time!
  2. When they have run out of water.
  3. I'm sure that the government are satisfied with these figures and are now sweeping all the evidence underneath the rug a quickly as possible.
  4. Thais have to be the world's slowest drivers!!! From my experience a huge percentage of Thais have only know how to drive/ride one way. Maximum velocity at all times no matter what the road conditions.
  5. One thing to bear in mind is that they are much noiser than regular fans, particularly when you turn the fan up to full speed. It's like having a jet engine in the room! We have one that I bought some years ago to try in our bedroom. Like others have said it just created way too much humidity within the room even with the window open. So I use ours outside now because there is a notable difference with the coolness of the air it kicks out compared to a normal fan.
  6. I downloaded the payment form from the GOV.UK website.
  7. Anything you sit astride on is being ridden. Examples being a motorcycle, bicycle, tricycle, horse, camel, or an ostrich. Nearly everything with four wheels you drive. Obviously a quad bike being one exception.
  8. They need to start breathalyzing drivers first thing in the morning as well.
  9. Lucky? Is this some meaning of the word that I was previously unaware of?
  10. They have probably already sold the necklace. And if they lost face over "just a joke" that makes their vile behavior even more pathetic. Let's hope the police deal with this properly instead of handing out a "joke" of a punishment.
  11. I've been making this exact recipe for a while now. The one thing I learnt from the beginning was you need be patient and cook them on a low heat otherwise they will burn on the bottom before the top sets. I like to serve mine with savory toppings particular cheesy scrambled egg, or as my mother always called it when I was a wee nipper, fluffy cheese.
  12. Firstly, I'm fully aware that the British passport office in the UK is going on strike for five weeks starting next month. I already had an appointment booked at the VFS office in CM before that news story broke. So, as they haven't contacted me to cancel my appointment, I'm going turn up and attempt to submit my application anyway. My question is this. Is there a colour photo copying service located at the VFS office in Chiang Mai? According to the requirements listed I need colour photo copies of every page in my old passport. I only have a black and white laser printer/scanner at home and it would be handy to know if I have find somewhere else to get these copies done before I arrive at the VFS office tomorrow afternoon. Thanks in advance,
  13. Don't these people know that there are CCTV and surveillance cameras everywhere now? Particularly exchange booths. Pretty much everything you do when you are out and about is caught on film these days.
  14. So where do these drunken mice hang out? I would imagine they like a full bodied Shiraz to go with their cheese.
  15. Yes, I agree. The Thai perception of beauty is certainly very different to mine. Soft, rounded, pretty features are clearly not considered attractive here.
  16. It's raining in Chiang Mai today so the air quality will be fresh and crystal clear from tomorrow....
  17. Around my way, many of the younger females do sometimes wear short shorts but the tops they wear are normally very conservative. Not over tight and definitely no midriff showing.
  18. Fancy that! They are predicting the hot season to be hot! If the rains come early then the hot season will just be warm and wet like it has been in the previous few years.
