Still have these? I can use 10s. . Are they in date, what is the voltage (1.4 or 1.45), brand and model, and how are they packed? Loose is unacceptable. I am in Sukhumvit near the BTS.
They are 1.45v and are dated 09/2018.

I'm not buying the #10s as also use #312s for my hearing aids.
Curious, tho, what new model did you get? I'm due for an upgrade, hopefully, have had my current pair for five years now, Beltone PSE664.Widex Dream 220. I was quoted 39,000 Baht each but managed to talk them down to 75,000 and include a neck loop for Bluetooth (8,000 Baht). This was D Med Hearing Center on Sukhumvit.Pattaya.Profile

Why do these posts get so bloody personal?

When it was built the Ambassador City, Jomtien was the largest hotel in the world. As far as I know when it was built they expected it to have a casino, otherwise why build a 4,200 bedroom hotel 10k from the town center.

Low Salt Thailand aims to cut national salt intake by 30%
Then why doesn't the Low Salt Thailand Network encourage manufactures to make low sodium salt available here in Thailand ?
Low sodium salt is available here. Tesco/Lotus sells 'Les So' a product that was developed at Mahidol University and contains 60% Less Sodium.

I have bought 2 new hearing aids. They take a size 312 battery. My old ones use a size 10. I have 12 packs (6 batteries per pack) surplus to requirements. If any one wont's to buy them please contact me. I know I should really put this in classified but there isn't a heading saying hearing equipment.

It does not appear he had a METV. It seems he may of had a NON-OA visa that is valid for one year from the date of issue and allows a one year entry.
If he entered after November 29th his visa was expired already which is why he only got a 30 day visa exempt entry. He should of gotten a re-entry permit before he left the country to keep his last entry valid.
Thanks again Joe. I'm seeing him tomorrow and I'll check his passport.

I much prefer paper books, but ebooks are usually much cheaper these days and there are plenty of free classics and other stuff. Unfortunately, bookstores are going the way of the Dodo.
If your looking for a particular book eBooks are not necessarily cheaper. I spend to much time reading on the internet anyway.
There is one thing the internet or eBooks cannot give you and that's the shear pleasure of browsing and finding a book you are looking for.

The visas 6 month validity starts from the date of issue.
Thanks for that but my friends METV was issued on the 30th November 2015 and it stated that entry must be made before 29th November 2016.
When he came 8th July 2016 it was stamped 'admitted to 7/7/2017. When he came this week it was stamped 'admitted to 4th January 2017 (1 month). He is confused and asked me to find out.

Does the validity of a METV start from the day its issued or the day that you arrive in Thailand?

What do cyclist do here about insurance . As in accident or stolen. When I asked in a insurance brokers I was told cannot do because bike isn't registered.
When I had a bike in the UK (many years ago) the bike was covered by the household policy. But you can get cover for property damage and public liability etc.
Quote in the UK for a comprehensive bike cover 60 Pounds including legal expenses and riding worldwide on a 11,000 Baht bike.
So what to Thais do or don't they bother.

Whats happened to the second hand bookshop at the South Pattaya Market (The one with market days Tuesday and Friday). It was above Tops on Pattaya Klang for years and moved here a couple (or 3) years ago.
I always thought it was the best 2nd hand bookshop in Pattaya as all the books were catalogued by author which made searching quite easy. Unlike another bookshop I can think of which makes negotiating for a particular book a nightmare.
Anybody know where its moved to.

Thanks for the link. They have some interesting stuff. BUT:
To the owner of the shop (if he's reading in) : I have never had a favorable experience with a shop that doesn't post prices on their website. Maybe it happens. But never in my experience.
I'd probably hop down from BKK for a look-see if the prices were reasonable. I may even order one sight unseen for delivery since my time is precious and the half day to visit the shop is more valuable to me than the $$$. But not to show up and risk finding out I just spent 2 hours on the road (each way) to look at stuff that's priced out of the market.
Not only no price but no address or map either.

Had a friend done for working without a work permit after a guy / so called customer asked him to change the music disc in a bar that was in the wife's name, asked if he had a work permit. ended up paying 20000 to stay out of jail.
30 years ago I was talking to a bar owner in phuket. He was upset, he had just been fined 20,000 baht for changing the tape on his music center. Some things never change.

I always have a problem in Tesco with the small display. Big C have a nice size display which I can see clearly without my glasses.
