  1. Work on about 10 million or more homes here in Aus...actually a mandatory install.
  2. One does not need an "engineer" to come to those conclusions. Buildings are same same all over Thailand with zero engineering standard requirement or certification. It's the way things work here.
  3. Talking of RTAF, did they find what caused the crash of the CT4 with an instructor and student a few weeks back. Something doesn't sound right there (on landing approach) for the solid and reliable aircraft they are.
  4. Use the argument my parents always used to use when I was a kid.............. this is for the times I didn't catch you. Think youself lucky and move on. Arguing with police could be looked on as a rather dick*** move.
  5. and who doesn't have a printer these day....? one i guess........ ????
  6. And...just like in Aus, where or what are they going to use to charge the ruddy things? Julian Islet showed last month how he visited over 70 recharge stations and ALL but one were not working........???? Cost is prohibitive for many Aussies , how the hell are Thai going to handle that?
  7. mmmm...first paragraph...."may trigger the disease"....... I'm guessing they don't really know but sounds good for another "sue the beggers" and get some free money. I imagine after a few million in court costs, they'll find out one way or the other. Just makes one wonder why they don't bear this themselves "before" sticking it to the "old days".
  8. Not the type the op is referring to. Probably not given the layout of the pipes you show above. I use them on any wall mount install we do and they work really well. Best get the air con fellas in to do it for you. They are relatively cheap in Thailand and well worth it if you consider the cost if you dislodge a sealed flare joint.
  9. Wife of a friend of mine spent $900 last week in Aus on haircut for her and the granddaughter. Mine is $20.....not much hair left but still................. Just plain ridiculous, no sense ........... Meanwhile house insurance goes up 65% two years in a row. Everyday groceries up almost 50% on most staples. Reserve bank trying to put a hold on inflation while the banks and others keep offering incentives for people to spend money they don't have....crazy stuff They REALLY need to get rid of this government here.
  10. That average chart is WAYYYYY out....average Aussie woman is 72kg....yeah, right, each leg.
  11. Track lines back to the transformer, there will almost certainly be a star point earth wire at that pole.
  12. Light and power outlets are not normally wired on the same circuit, unless it is a "mixed circuit" and has cabling not less than 2.5 sq mm and run on maximum of 20A circuit breaker. If yours is covered by this then you are ok. Normal arrangement is lighting on a 1.5 sq mm cabling protected by a 10A RCBO and power outlets on 2.5 sq mm cabling protected by a 20A RCBO, all with 30mA trip level and using the newer "Type A, F or B......... Type AC is now out in many countries) Example .............. https://www.worksafe.qld.gov.au/news-and-events/newsletters/esafe-newsletters/esafe-editions/esafe-electrical/2023-newsletters/february-2023/type-ac-rcds-banned-from-30-april-2023#:~:text=Electrical contractors must not install,no exemptions for existing projects. And here.......... https://www.worksafe.qld.gov.au/news-and-events/newsletters/esafe-newsletters/esafe-editions/esafe-electrical/2020-bulletins/choose-the-right-safety-switch-for-the-job It is more appropriate these days to run each circuit on it's own safety cut device (commonly known as a combo) which has both the circuit breaker and the earth leakage component in the one unit, RCBO. Reason is obvious, when it comes to any earth leakage fault, only that circuit's RCBO combo will trip, retaining your other lights and points.
  13. Many countries flying drones at night is highly illegal............... let alone in public area. Makes one wonder what the Thailand air space regulators have to say about it. Tit perhaps....? ????
  14. Thailand would do well to look at the mayhem with electricity in Australia (due mostly to the greenies) both cost and possible shortage of future supply.
  15. If he had spent some time showing the dangers of drugs, maybe never in this situation.
  16. Only if you know what you expect to see is correct.
  17. Only if submerged in water as in say a blown head gasket heating the water to extreme level. ...........like I said above. If the water disappears, nothing.
  18. Might be a good move to invest in an engine guard warning system when you replace the engine. Water temperature guages only work properly when the probe is in water. Loose the water and the guage simply sits there looking normal, no good to anyone. https://engineguard.com.au/
  19. Are you sure you both need Thai police check..? Are you both Thai....? Permanent residence in Australia is usually at least a three part process beginning with other temporary visa applications. Then there is usually a couple of years before permanent residence is even considered. Best check your spelling as well. Errors like this " We had to fly back to Melbouren that same day " will see the application form get rejected and you'll loose all your dosh and have to start all over again from the beginning. Also any forms submitted in Thai have to have English translations done by approved translation services, stamped with the appropriate certification number etc. There are free services offered by the Australian government for permanent visa applications for up to, I believe, something like 10 forms.
  20. JR cable (from controller).......red = positive supply......... brown = negative supply .......... yellow = signal cable 2 core from each esc ( blue and black........... depending on esc brand ) would normally be (but you need to supply a link to where you bought the esc to be certain) blue = signal line and black = negative common.( as above....check with the specs on your esc to be absolutely certain......... you don't get two goes at it if you are wrong) There is no need for the red from the controller to be connected as the controller already has supply and the esc gets it's supply from the battery leads ( heavier red and black cores) I've already shown this above so if you cannot follow it, suggest you get in touch with one of the blokes that fly models up there in Udon. Don't know if the club is still operational, last time I saw them was around 5 years ago, but the blokes will surely be around somewhere.
  21. Looks like it could do with a good deal of maintenance.
  22. If so, I suspect because English is a world wide requirement.
