Yes, extremely well. The first few years not so much but I have adjusted. In Isaan I find the people very friendly, probably because there aren't so many tourists, money has a corrupting influence on the psyche. I go with the flow. I don't believe in organized religions, although I consider Buddhism to be the most logical, so I don't attend the Buddhist services at our village temple but I meditate a lot and have found a secluded place in the temple grounds near some old Stupas where I meditate every day. Despite being secluded my wife tells me the monks and the locals are aware of this and this simple action has earned me enormous respect.

Thanks for all your help, each of you, but I'm 76 years old and I use a computer like I use a car, I turn a key and it starts, if not I call a mechanic, I'm no techie. I leave well enough alone. I will buy a new computer but I will use my present one until it won't work at all.....it's rather like a women, sometimes nice other times bad tempered but at least it doesn't want my money.

To start I have to say my PC is 18 years old using windows 7. The computer has had trouble starting recently and starts a repair program (every day) with no success but then it can be started. Before this I had a notice that updates were being loaded (when I shut down in the evening) which surprised me as win 7 is no longer supported, my anti virus and anti malware programs show no attack. Since two weeks I have the problem that while using it the computer will shut down with the notice 'no cable' it will then start again automatically and can be used normally for an hour or two before the same thing happens, sometimes 3 or 4 times an hour. TOT replaced the modem and I was able to use the computer for 8 hours straight with no problems but the next day the same thing happened. Any ideas?

We don't know what force the drunk big burly Russian started to use, why should the Thai security staff risk injury by using minimum force, their country, their rules so they made sure he was put down quickly, that's my take on it, he refused to leave when asked so now he's in hospital. hopefully with a big hospital bill at the end. Maybe Ukraine seems like a good option now.

I don't think you can blame the mother, children, teenagers and young adults orientate themselves on their peers. Migrant children don't speak English with the accents of their migrated parents, they speak with the normal accents of their new homeland, Turkish parents have problems with their daughters born in Germany for instance because they reject the strict moral norms of their parents and assimilate the norms of German teenagers. My own Thai British son 17 doesn't understand British humour and often feels insulted when I use it on him but laughs at 'boing' Thai humour which I find childish. The guidance of peers carries far more weight.

No sympathy, at 36 she should have had more sense, these days many people seem to take drugs like sweets, there must be a lot of desperation in the world.
