  1. At the Queen Sirikit hospital maybe it's the eyes department, i got a quote for something, half the price of a Pattaya hospital, and someone i know had emergency heart treatment, pretty cheap apparently
  2. any dentist will be ok, none makeup fillings, remember you can always say no
  3. I agree the phone should be clean of ify apps, My ify apps are on the tablet and tv box only where there's no important apps, files etc
  4. It's a daft decision, thai style, might as well go back to ATM cards for those banks that start charging
  5. Hopefully cataract turns out better than the fake tits
  6. 2 tier pricing seems to be getting more widespread. People should explore India as an option, apparently cheap to get there and cheap medical costs, English speaking doctors standard
  7. It's rent less expenses, repairs etc. Ex wife is another story, if it's owned by the son and ex-wife then yes it's due to them
  8. There are options, see an agent, maybe student, maybe working, or just do tourist visas and border runs
  9. I'm not sure I'd want a dodgy app on the phone that could somehow give away my banking app details so good BB checks i say
  10. What would happen if she said she couldn't pay?
  11. What app wasn't downloaded from playstore? maybe TV movie app?
  12. i just opened the app and it needed to update, new version apparently, so try google playstore see if it needs updating, if that doesn't help restart the phone and see if it opens ok. Maybe it can detect if you have a side loaded dodgy apk app
  13. Usually people have passbooks which is a good backup, but yes if you want someone else to be able to move money then an ATM card makes sense, access to app won't be easy if unconscious
  14. Weeks or months if it's just a girlfriend and a lawyer may be required. My lawyer friend was working on an exact case. Wife would hopefully be quicker
  15. Better if thread is moved to health forum @Sheryl
  16. Seems to be better to go via a broker, apparently they may help in the event of a claim, but i doubt that
  17. sounds like now you can't open one even if scammed into buying a useless insurance product
  18. It's been posted and shared a few times by a popular agent so I'd say it's true
  19. Check it will settle the same day, usually transfers do but I'd check. You could do 400k in one go when the balance can drop to 400k just in case it goes wrong but shouldn't, then transfer second 400k\balance
  20. Maybe, agents seem to solely use Bangkok Bank now, so maybe it impacts those who may want to go the agent route
  21. Apparently from 6th Apr they will not allow bank accounts to be opened (per a facebook post earlier today from an agent), which makes me wonder how can someone then get a non imm O visa based on retirement
  22. Probably a good idea to have more than 1 bank account, i have 3 cardless withdrawal options
  23. yes also over rated, people always suggest it, i tested for it, no have. Some people have it with zero symptoms
