  1. he stated the agents could do it, see here ''I've already had a chat with Maneerat Travel in Soi 13, and they said yes they could do it'' i don't think its allowed, but the point i was making is that if the agent said it can be done, then it makes no difference if the permission to stay extends past the visa expiry date, which is what the op asked, see here '' So, if I were to apply for a retirement conversion from this Non-O during the 90 days after the visa itself has expired, would that be an obstacle to getting the retirement extension?''
  2. he has a visa, so he can do a border bounce using the multi entry visa and get a new 90 day entry stamp, that takes him past the visa expiry date, nothing to do with a re-enty permit op the entry that extends past the expiry date of the visa is as good as one that doesn't, so the agents could still obtain a 1 year extension
  3. I believe if you Dial *500*9# will Add 30 days validity for 30 THB taken from balance
  4. maybe you could obtain a 60 day visit Thai wife extension as close to your departure date as possible ( you have not said when this is) together with a re-entry permit which will cover you to 14th November as the 60 day extension will start from the 16th September.
  5. I think number 1 on the general publics mind is prices (electric, gas, council tax bills and food), immigration is a close 2nd
  6. how would that work for a child born in Thailand to a non Thai mom and dad, the child would only have a non Thai passport.
  7. still would be nice to see all the passport stamps over the last few months although i think some of the problems could have bee caused by the op, read the tone of his op.
  8. best to get a new non imm O from Savannakhet, single entry no financials, then start the yearly extension with the 45,000thb monthly income
  9. not saying you are wrong or right, but in 20 years of coming and going to Thailand i have never presented, or been asked for a boarding pass, to the best of my knowledge I think there is more to this matter, than has been told
  10. so it should be restrictive, Thailand need the income from the vast amount of arrivals. Europe as well as overs have problems keeping people out, therefore the UK and Europe need tough visa requirements for counties that will overstay and disappear.
  11. yes why is it 30 days, some other countries in the area give more, ie Malaysia, Hong Kong and Japan
  12. come on, how often do brake calipers fall off, and if they fell off there would be no screeching noise
  13. 'run flat' tyres are just that, tyres that can still be used when punctured, normally on more expensive cars
  14. a friend works month on month off, he doesn't have any problem with visa exempt entries
  15. don't forget you can get 10% from the wife's/husbands allowance if they are not using the full amount, but they have to be registered and have the tax free allowance in the UK
  16. my office rayong don't require an updated kor ror 2 for a 60 day wife extension. only for a yearly extension, i get it the same day, not sure of the rules, easy for me to do it, then into the bank for bank letter and update bank book then straight to IO, arrive 10ish out within an hour at the most
  17. maybe a tm30 for Rayong area would be required
  18. just another scare mongering thread, but disguised as an extension thread
  19. inbound duty free shops, i don't understand why they have them anyway, maybe to keep king power and its owners happy
  20. don't forget 'slow horses' does not exist, its fiction, someone made it all up to sell a book i expect.
  21. are you saying the motorway is open end to end, I doubt it will be more relaxed underneath
  22. if using the USA passport to retire to Thailand, you will need to use the monthly income method, but you would need 1 year's worth of monthly bank income, no average amount, 65,000thb each separate month if using Argentine, then you may be able to obtain proof of income from the Argentine Embassy in Thailand, which should satisfy immigration in Thailand
