  1. Waiting for news of farang sued by restaurant for defamation, demanding 4 million baht...
  2. With prior comments about trust in police, my post no longer makes any sense - delete.
  3. He's up to showing us how to burn 44 billion dollars in a month.
  4. If BIOS can't detect it, maybe something is wrong with cabling or SSD drive is damaged? Did it disappear after an abrupt power failure? Is it PCI Express or SATA? Actually either way, if re-seating doesn't help, can you get an external enclosure and plug it in externally via USB port? If you have another SSD, that you can just temporarily insert, to go to BIOS, see if that drive is detected or not. If not, then reset BIOS to defaults, maybe upgrade BIOS, check what kind of boot options you have - toggle switches and see if anything is detected. If the other drive works fine but this one doesn't, maybe your drive died. I've had several SSD drives die from the beginning, though recent ones seem more reliable (talking 10+ years back).
  5. Same model here, from same shop, and probably the same price. But also a sturdier HP color MFP. Both are very reliable, the built-in functionality allows you to do things without turning on the computer (like scanning to USB, printing PDFs from USB, scanning to email, scanning to cloud), and are much better than Brother when it comes to printing from mobile devices and Mac. The above Canon model needs Canon Print for Business app, HP needs nothing. Just Share to printer, or Print (depending on OS). On Brother (unless that changed very recently) you need to first make file a PDF before you open that file form print app to send it to printer. Not thrashing Brother here. I happily use their label printers and bought several other models over the years, they just don't seem to be as sleek beyond printing from PC than some others are.
  6. One more vote for laser printer. Invade IT is a good seller with great support. But based in Hua Hin if I remember correctly. If you're elsewhere you could try local IT shops or Banana/JIB/Shopee/Lazada. Some have same day delivery. Too bad you just missed 11/11 sale yesterday.
  7. BTC has been around many years and early adopters might have made a lot on it. That first pizza place that accepted it, for instance. But the crazy growth of the past is now just that... in the past. Will it grow again? There are some people who still believe in it and will think that this is just a temporary setback, so surely it will. Will it drop again? Most likely it will, when yet another exchange gets hacked or exposed for dubious practices and possibly goes broke, wiping customers' entire crypto holdings. Unlike physical assets, or actual earnings from companies that trade stocks, crypto valuations are in large portion valued based on trust and mood. So if trust vanishes, they are worth nothing. In the not so distant past, there was a lot of trust in crypto as a whole, based on strong growth and greed. But series of setbacks and scandals have seriously damaged it, and drop in value eroded it further. While I see blockchain technology infiltrating more and more processes, I just can not see current crypto currencies going anywhere near the historic heights.
  8. Yes, you bought at $44,544.86 and it's now worth $16,895.27. You needed good luck but unless you already sold it, that good luck didn't really find you. On the plus side.. your $200k is still worth $76k. Though it might be worth even far less if another crypto exchange goes bust.
  9. There was only one and that was destroyed near Kyiv. But - Antonov promised to rebuild the plane as they have an unfinished fuselage for the second plane that was never completed, and salvaged some parts from the destroyed one. It'll take several years after end of war in Ukraine before you see Mriya take to the skies again. PS: There's very few people in this cargo plane. Just a few crew.
  10. Is the property leasehold, or is chanote with the bank, or is it informally owned and no chanote exists?

  12. Shortcomings need to be now gotten somewhere else as billions from foreigners won't come in. Maybe a 10x tax increase on land ownership on horizon? Or blame foreigners and force those on long term visas to make substantially higher investments/deposits in banks? Maybe something even more creative only a greedy gazillionnaire could have dreamed up. Countries don't start selling off the land because they have nothing better to do, but to get cash to top up empty coffers.
  13. Bang Sue also has red line train, which has Laksi stop as well...
  14. OK... Rocky, Terminator and Never Die. But who's the lad on the bottom right?
  15. I don't think flight prices are a problem. The taxi mafia costs a lot more than airfares. Why not start there?
  16. Welcome to Thailand, rookie. Surely you can complain, but if you get cops to actually engage, next loud music might be at your funeral. Seriously - never... NEVER make a Thai lose face. It may cost you your life.
  17. True but Windows 11 doesn't come with digital license for Windows 10 AFAIK so when Windows 10 is installed it'll ask for it to be activated, for which OP will have to buy Windows 10 license (although likely a cheap Lazada license would do).
  18. Your notebook might have Windows 11 only drivers, so while majority should still work fine, you might get into trouble with some devices unsupported. Replacing SSD would likely break warranty stickers and by that void warranty. As the old notebook had different processor, graphics, sound card, chipset, etc. you may be in for a rather large disappointment in terms of performance and stability. And since the hardware changes, you'll be forced to buy a new Windows 10 license unless you had bought it before as a box (not OEM or preinstalled on old laptop). What's bothering you about Windows 11?
  19. Which standard is Thailand's safety standard? Surely not the WHO standard. And what are people supposed to do when they are alerted that the air pollution is exceeding Auschwitz gassing chambers' air quality? I have a panoramic view towards West of Bangkok and EVERY DAY I can see many plumes of smoke across horizon all around Bangkok. There's a really visible, maybe 2-3 km tall tower of pollution right over the horizon in grayish brownish tone all over the city. How many illnesses and deaths is this causing? Yet all that is done is talk talk talk and no action, despite the situation getting worse every year. Maybe Thailand's government should be allowed to be sued like the European governments for failing to do their jobs. https://www.euronews.com/green/2022/09/27/europes-fight-for-clean-air-german-government-latest-to-be-sued-over-toxic-pollution
