Having Trump removed from ballot papers doesn't sound very democratic to me. Let the people choose!

Pal of mine was living with a Thai woman who had many kids. He had a disagreement with her 12yo son ......... Son shouts, "Don't tell me what to do, you're not my dad, you're just another foreigner banging my mom" I had to laugh!

Enjoy the fantasy, don't send her money (or at least not more than the fantasy is worth). It's OK to give her money when you're here visiting, but don't overpay, the going rate is around 40 pounds a go.

Car accident, who should pay the excess?
BritManToo replied to sanook 1's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Direct to hospital, I have a tab of 30kbht and used about 10kbht so far. Hospital deals with everything direct. M/c repairs paid direct to Honda garage. Billed direct to insurance co. I've seen no paperwork at all, apart from signing a copy of my passport now and again. -

Car accident, who should pay the excess?
BritManToo replied to sanook 1's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
I was the victim of a hit and run 2 months back, wife made police report later that afternoon Hospital on Friday, gov min insurance paid out for up to 30kbht on Monday. Driver traced by police 2 weeks later, his insurance repaired my m/c and agreed 'sick pay' a week later. Haven't had the sick pay yet, as it's a daily amount paid out when my doctor signs me off as 'fit'. I've never seen insurance work so fast anywhere in the world. The only expense to me was 6kbht for the hospital on Sunday aft, that they returned Monday aft after insurance approval. -

This thread is pointless without a photo of the waitress! -
Donald Trump blocked from Maine presidential ballot in 2024

I was speaking for educated Brits ............ 'you' aren't part of 'we'! I suspect the Brits speaking with Jamaican accents, aren't that educated either. -
Donald Trump blocked from Maine presidential ballot in 2024

As an educated Brit, I would point out we generally hate all foreigners, especially those from our former colonies. -
Only war with France/Germany would stop the flow of illegal boat people crossing the channel. Brexit was the first step. Only war with France/Germany will stop the EU from economically punishing the UK, for leaving the united Europe under German rule. The EU can't afford Brexit to be a success, else other members will leave. These are the truths, but don't blame me, I was happy with Germany being in charge of the UK. I didn't want Brexit!

Can your box remote control a LG TV and Samsung Sounbar? Can your box be voice controlled by Google Home Mini-nests? If not, it's no use to me!

My Mecool Km2+ arrived at the weekend and I've spend a while battling through the apps/setup. Google assistant almost useless as it only searches Netflix/prime video, and not KODI (which I use to stream from my NAS) KODI 20.2, I had some problems as browse-able SMB network is disabled (for my own security you understand) after V19.1, eventually I got it working by typing in the SMB address by hand. (smb://NAS326/WD-Elements-24A3-1013/HD Movies). Now it works quite well but isn't searchable by Google Assistant. HBO GO, this is also quite well integrated, but again not searchable. The remote is very useful, it can control my TV inputs and my Soundbar volume, and the four 'goto' buttons are programmable so I can use KODI, VLC, an HBO Go directly. So pretty good for 1,780bht, shame about Google Assistant, would have been good if it searched the apps I selected an not the apps they selected.

I have very good business sense ......... which essentially made me enough money to not work past age 45 for the rest of my life.

As far as I can see the only additional costs for a full Vs empty room would be cleaning materials and electricity (almost nothing). Presumably you would still pay staff wages whether empty or full. And the full room would generate extra income from food, drinks and trip bookings.

Inertia, same as for all of us. If I wasn't already here, I wouldn't be coming. Vietnam is a far better tourist destination IMHO.

They (DSLAM/MSAN?) usually have battery backup, I lose grid power all the time but my internet still works without interruption. https://www.facebook.com/NS.net/photos/a.699290313417141/944921128854057/?type=3 "Typical outdoor MSAN cabinet consists of NarrowBand (POTS), BroadBand (xDSL) services, batteries with rectifiers, optical transmission unit and copper distribution frame."

Cos there aren't many expats owning hotels in Thailand.

Not really appropriate to this forum then. OPs English did seem a bit odd.

I've always found booking cheaper through a booking company than direct with the hotel. Sometimes I can pay cash for additional days when in the room, but often they want more than through the booking company. It's a mystery to me! Can't say I care if the hotel is making money or not, I'm only concerned about me.

Booking cancelled
BritManToo replied to Mika78's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
Why make things so hard for yourself? Book using Agoda/Booking.com/Airbnb like everyone else. No need to ever deal with flaky owners.
