She was hustling (as prostitution is borderline legal) , he was haggling (trying to buy for less money). -
Give me examples of you haggling & hustling ?
BritManToo replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Hustle is to make money from someone in a barely legal way. Haggle is to try and save money on a purchase. I understand Australia has the worst education system in the western world and many citizens are barely literate. You aren't doing yourself any favours with this sort of post, exposing your ignorance.- 48 replies

What about Laos, Cambodia and Burma? Plenty of them working in Thailand. " IOM estimates that Thailand is home to 3.9 million migrant workers from Cambodia, the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Myanmar and Viet Nam (2019)." https://thailand.iom.int/labour-mobility-and-social-inclusion#:~:text=In countries of destination%2C migrant, and Viet Nam (2019). Some claim expat = white person, migrant worker = non-white. https://theconversation.com/whats-the-difference-between-a-migrant-and-an-expat-69265 Others claim you need to be working in a foreign country in order to be classed as an expat. And yet others claim expat = person from a wealthy country working in a poorer country Migrant worker = person from a poor country working in a wealthier country.

I posted it more of an inflation/deflation thread than a TV thread, although it was the TV prices that got me going. Just dug out my TV feet for my current 60" wall mounted LG, it cost 21kbht. Thought it was a 65" ........ can't believe it was purchased in 2018, seems like yesterday, thought it was only 3 years old but in reality 6 years old.

Khon Kaen parents forced to pay ‘tea money’ for student admission
BritManToo replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
My sons government school demands 3kbht a term for 'extra' lessons. I you don't pay it, they won't accept your kid as a student. It's been like this forever. -
So I was browsing the Lazada 4.4 sale and noticed this offer, 75 inch, 16k8. Everyone keeps on going on about inflation, but last time I looked a 75 inch TV was around 35,000bht. Obviously it might be junk but reviews are good, 3 year guarantee, Android Tv, free delivery. Offer only on mobile app, still priced at 20k+ on website. What could possibly go wrong?

Sounds like ear mites, my rabbits get this every Songkran, 150bht for an Ivermectin injection at the vets.

Just got back from a 20km bicycle ride, time for my first tea of the day.

How far behind is the Philippines compared to Thailand ?
BritManToo replied to Harsh Jones's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Been all over the bad places in Manila, used to walk from the airport through the Barrio to the bus station (Victory Line) late at night/early morning. Lots of old folk sitting outside their shacks all night, everyone very friendly, beyond your wildest Thai dreams. 'Good morning sir, enjoy your visit', they would say as I walked by. I've never had any problems from the locals, one immigration lady suggested I stayed longer after viewing my many 10 day visits in my passport (I got the idea she would be happy to show me around). I you want to live somewhere you can actually make local friends (male and female), then PI is the place to go. They speak English, listen to our music and movies, and generally share our culture. If I hadn't already settled in CM, I'd probably be living there (or Siam Reap). Mike has a big down on PI, don't know why as he's never been. Back on topic, Internet was a lot slower than Thailand, plus frequent, almost daily, power cuts. -

I've always found the beach (Barretto next to Subic) cleaner than Thailand, and no sandflies! -
Are we in the middle of a hoeflation ?
BritManToo replied to MrPancake's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I always found begging for sex (aka game) more demeaning than paying for sex. Talking with women is just a chore in which I have no interest. Did meet a guy that was broke and spent all his time on TF, he was very successful, reckoned he could get it free twice, but any more and they'd ask for cash or a house. Obviously if you're really dull yourself, it might be less of a problem. -

If you use a condom, I can't see any real difference, both ways you're banging latex! -

If you have sex, you ain't an INCEL. Strangely enough, I've met 2 INCELs in Thailand, they couldn't even pay hookers to sleep with them. Both really nice normal looking guys, if a little dull, they'd bar fine a girl, but between bar and their room the girls would always back out.
