If it's gone that far I'd prefer to progress directly to separate homes.

I'm only here for the cheap housing and the cheap woman. It happens to be Thailand, but beyond simple commerce I have no reason to interact with the locals. Same when I lived in Cornwall.

I don't bother, if you don't speak English with a Brit accent, I'm not interested in talking with you. Did learn to read, write and speak central Thai, it wasn't worthwhile, Thais are generally really dull people with nothing to say that I want to hear. "How spicy was my last meal' ....... discuss for 1hr ........... I think not.

There are 165000 registered trucks, 24 of which are EVs. Of those trucks 250 ICE have burnt in the past year, and 2 EVs in the past 6 months. 165000/250 = 1 in 660 ICE burns v 1 in 12 EV burns. Temp of diesel fire = 800c (can be extinguished) Temp of EV fire = 2,700c (burns steel and concrete, outgassing deadly poisons cobalt, lithium) 2 Victoria firefighters have already been given permanent disability retirement after attending EV fires this year.

Trump, allies fire back at media warnings of second-term dictatorship
BritManToo replied to CharlieH's topic in World News
My prediction is Trump is seen as a victim, gets a huge sympathy vote, and wins. -
Not to worry, climate change will fix it in less than 10 years (according to scientists).

Entrance fees for famous Tham Luang cave explained
BritManToo replied to snoop1130's topic in Chiang Rai News
Most Thais don't pay tax in Thailand either. The Thai government is not financed by private individuals income tax. -
I think it's due to the 80% of men traditionally used up on the front line surviving and being given welfare. Not to mention the 50% of women that traditionally died in childbirth.

I don't believe 'subsidised' is the right word in this situation, as the 30bht is not related to the treatment. My local government hospital doesn't even collect the 30bht, not worth their time I heard someone say. The hospital get a fixed monthly budget, plus any cash they make from non registered or foreign patients. And they appear quite keen to get that cash, they don't seem to view it as a 'charity', or making a loss. My current treatment is mostly X-rays (x2) at 250bht/time, doesn't cost them anything giving 500bht profit per visit. Doctor already hired, hospital makes 50bht. X-ray operators already hired, no consumables as all electronic x-rays, shown on the doctors phone/tablet/PC.

More important, how old was the waitress?
