  1. Mate, went there today for a Thai wife extension, and not like last year where we had to hand write 2 x TM7. They do not trust you to get it correct. They send you to another counter where someone will write it out, by their hand, from what they have on the computer. For a fee, of course. But you cannot sign anything until you are directed by the IMO. So it changes every year and the new office seemed to be under staffed.
  2. Easy, if he is like me he is not that important to the world to be in touch every second.
  3. BS, all of us are not children that do what they care told.
  4. I would like to get my hands on a 1:4000 map of our local area. Wonder if they are available.
  5. True as an organisation is hopeless. Maybe Dtac will improve them.
  6. Well this will be interesting as my Thai wife and I will be flying out in February and returning in March. I have been living here permanently for 10 years without any insurance. So my wife will be okay but what will they require me to do.
  7. Last year we bought an EVE electric oven, MEX gas cooktop (Smeg's cheap brand) and a GRACE range hood, all in the moderate price range. Happy with the first two but the range hood is too noisy even on a low setting. They were bought for specific features that we wanted so no special recommendation verses other brands.
  8. They are probably oil based paints.
  9. Thats not a slope, its a cliff.
  10. That is about the price of a decent lens. I had one done at Supamitr Hospital at Suphan Buri for around 32000. The doctor normally does about 10 per day so plenty of experience.
  11. I bought an old phone as I needed one with a screen no bigger than 6". It was new and worked fine except for the battery that would only hold a charge for a few hours so be careful.
  12. Don't buy one then. What a whinge.
  13. BT Sport have it on an android box. free.
  14. Up here in this part of buffalo country the professionals like doctors, pharmacists and even the kids of the wealthy who have degrees from English speaking universities (but are now just salesmen in their parents' stores) have basic, but limited, English skills. But it must be difficult for them as they do not use it on a daily basis and as others have said it is easy to forget a second language if not using it. As for expats that speak/understand Thai it is much easier for them as it there for the most part of every day.
  15. And people worry about the plight of soi dogs. Plenty of poor people that need help.
  16. 11c this morning up here but it did not seem that bad. Maybe starting to acclimatise.
  17. Had high cholesterol for over 30 years, refused any meds and ate lots of meat. But for some reason I am still alive and kicking and still enjoying my meat.
  18. You are reading from a different play-book to him.
  19. And these phone apps really only quote the forecast for the whole province but just locate your phone to make you happy and important.
