  1. Same in Pattaya all open no restrictions, only no very late closing.
  2. They all are already open in Pattaya and have been for weeks. Normal even topless dancing. Now opening until about 2am
  3. Dont do it. Many people regret the OA option and change to O visa because of the continued insurance burden every year. O visa has no insurance associated with it, but you will need 800k in Thai bank or an income of 65k per month transferred into Thailand from abroad if you intended to apply for a 12 month extension of stay once in Thailand. There are qualifying periods for the money that I cant quote of hand at the moment. If you dont mind the continued insurance of an OA then its a good option to get 2 years out of the visa. You get stamped in for 12 months every time you enter Thailand, assuming you have valid OA insurance. If you leave and re enter Thailand just before the visa expires you will still get a 12 month stamp, again insurance has to be valid. A re entry permit is required to keep the permission to stay stamp valid after the visa expires.
  4. With gold falling? Dont make me laugh. Its the highest I have ever known it to be in Thailand.
  5. Do you really believe the nightlife is closed. Here in Pattaya its in full swing. Gogo's are operating near normal as are the bars. Granted closing time is supposed to be midnight but even now this is being pushed back later. Even topless dancing is back. Not bad for a bunch of restaurants is it.
  6. Ok thanks. My circuits dead there's something wrong, can you hear me
  7. Some exceptionally uninformed comments on here. San Miguel Light is A light and reduced-calorie lager with an exceptionally smooth and crispy taste. It is less filling and light on the stomach. It has a 5% alcohol content. Singha Light has been rebranded its now with a lower alcohol content 3.5% and is now called MyBeer

    Pattaya Underpass

Thats what I thought but I cant find anything that actually states that. A certain youtube Pattaya channel host insists he was held up last year due to the tunnel being flooded. I am challenging it.

    Pattaya Underpass

As a matter of interest, does anyone know for a fact if the existing underpass on the Sukumvidt has ever flooded since it became fully operational. I am of the opinion that it hasnt and has been a major success. There is talk of a new tunnel at Pattaya Tai to past the Threpasit road, this would be a major risk of flooding, but what about the current tunnel?
  10. Its Federbrau and its 4.8%. As far as I know you cant get Felsenbrau in Thailand.
  11. Its a non issue now for vaccinated people. Insurance for the required $10,000 is only 650 baht issued almost immediately online with a 14 day qualification and The Thailand Pass is issued online the same day. Maybe its the unvaccinated people who are complaining
  12. You are rarely wrong UJ but here you are. Unnvaccinated need the PCR result and proof of quarantine to get issued the Thailand pass
  13. OP unfortunately this forum not own Kerry so not point complaining on here. You need to contact them as suggested on here and let your wife do the talking. We find Kerry provides a first class service. Suggest you use cash on deliveey in future.
  14. Yes 12,900 baht I renewed my extension yesterday. We go back to the UK in 3 weeks until October 5th. You have to have a UK bank account, a decent credit rating and obviously a UK address. I have 2 cards. The Halifax Clarity Mastercard and The Barclaycard Platinum Visa card. Both use either the Mastercard or Visa exchange rates which are excellent. I manage the accounts via their apps and pay monthly by direct debit. No foreign transaction fees whatsoever. Easy if you can get.
  15. I have no idea why people wait until the last minute. You dont lose days by doing the extension early. I did my extension last week, April 29 and received back today stamped and valid until the expiry date May 24th 2023. If people are trying to tie up the extension date and the 90 day report date then simply report online its easy.
  16. Dont I repeat dont go down this route you will regret it. An extension of stay based on Retirement is the only sensible option.
  17. Its such a flawed system. Because I go back to the UK for 4 months or so every year I choose to keep my money in my UK bank account. I pay all my shopping bills and most restaurant bills on my no fee credit cards where I get the mastercard exchange rate which is close to the Wise rate. This means I need nowhere near 65k a month cash. I therefore use an agent for my retirement extension.
  18. Come on then clever clogs. Explain. If its classed as an international transfer the bank book will show International Funds Transfer, FTT. If its just a local transaction it doesnt, it just shows transfer from a/c at another bank. These are not accepted. Unless you go through a complicated process to get it changed. Now give your explaination like you do on every topic.
  19. Unvaccinated/Not Fully Vaccinated Persons) You obviously cant read
  20. It can come from any source transferred internationally. A pension is one example. If you are using an app like WISE to transfer the money, which is the cheapest method, the transaction has to specifically show it comes from abroad. WISE uses local banks to complete the transaction in many cases. Although the transaction originated abroad it doesnt count if its completed locally. Just be aware.
