  1. There are some studies suggesting that smokers are less susceptible to the "Covid virus " ™ ® ©
  2. Yep I remember that..+ Thais pulling up their masks extra tight and giving foreigners an extra wide berth during the height of the Covidiocy. Funny how things go full circle in that its now acknowledged that a likely scenario was the "virus" did originate/escape/export from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill perhaps in collaboration with the Wuhan institute of virology and a few others to cover the whole world...but still no reason to describe foreigners as any more dirty or any more likely to spread "disease" than a Thai would be... nose picking is still a Thai national sport...but does seem to have become less popular ? Anyway I hope/suppose that Ganja will become "legal" again so maybe not everything is bad.
  3. Somewhere in Sattahip ??? 2002 Na-Jomtien near the Police station 2023
  4. Lazada has over 4000 results make sure you get the exact model number..once you have the new screen you can attempt to change it quite fiddly or pay a phone shop to fit it probably best if you have never done the job before. https://www.lazada.co.th/catalog/?q=samsung S21 screen
  5. His stolen black suitcase might have turned up in the Bang Phai reservoir
  6. The bad bit is that its far too hot for tents on Pattaya beach and sometimes there are very strong winds which would cause more havoc also the much vaunted toilet facilities have not materialised ( yes portable van at entrance to Walking street is not enough) Tents only make any sense in the winter months up north in the mountains.
  7. Ha ha yes it is quite hair raising at times.
  8. Obviously an autocorrect mishap and obviously I may be slightly "dyslexic" for not spotting it ? where /were still gets me every time.
  9. Ohh well, takes all sorts I suppose... clutch and gears makes for an exciting/ engaging ride...probably not long till "self driving" motorcycles.
  10. Yes I bought 250g from the same store..I would say the taste is better than Typhoo one cups and on par with (perhaps even better) Yorkshire gold but obliviously a different taste.
  11. I said that I can get 2 mugs of tea from a single teabag when brewed in a pot 1 pot 1 bag = 2 mugs of tea...after that I dispose of the tea bag not reused as there is not much life left in it...though I suppose if you saved 4 or 5 bags they might make another weak cuppa. There was a running joke that the Scouser at work dried out the tea bags and used them over and over again 😝
  12. Yes but that happens with most bikes...you can of course get a local shop to modify/contour the seat foam to fit your personal tastes for a very modest price which helps a bit...but yeah a multi hour marathon ride would leave most everyone a bit saddle sore. There was a thread on here about some bloke riding all over Thailand on his Wave for hours on end must have an "iron butt" 😋
  13. Don't you find it incredibly boring to ride..just twist and go ?
  14. I appreciate a good strong mug of "builders" tea especially after an English breakfast fry up. Worst ever tea is that disgustingly weak Liptons that the Thais like to try and pass off as tea at restaurants and hotels..thats yucky.
  15. Ok I'm a bit off in the price (inflation) yes it would have to be a second hand Wave to be half the price. Of course people are free to buy whatever they want..just saying that the Wave is a very good cheap reliable bike that will last a lifetime if cared for a little bit and should be high on the list of candidates IMHO.
  16. I have some Yorkshire gold, one bag in a pot gets 2 big mugs of strong tea..I do let it stew for at least 20 minutes with tea cozy on the pot. Typhoo one cup when they are available takes 2 bags to get a slightly weaker brew in the same pot. I believe Typhoo were taken over ,still in business but do seem to have disappeared from most (all ? )of the shops in Pattaya...still available online but at 2x price.
  17. Buy a Wave 125i for half the price lasts for ever but cheap and easy to fix if it does go wrong also more fun to ride and very fuel efficient. IMHO Those high tech gadgets will go wrong pretty quickly..and a big no no to LCD/TFT screen assuming its the dash console display not good for a high intensity UV environment like Thailand
  18. I bought 3 loose tea brands to try 250g packets from lazada only sampled two cups of each tea but so far my score would be 1 Wagh Bakri premium leaf 115 baht nice strong brew 2 Tata gold 110 baht a bit flowery but still good and strong 3 Brooke Bond Red Label 99 baht close to Typhoo one cup https://www.lazada.co.th/products/tata-tea-tata-tea-premiumgold-desi-ki-chai-wagh-bakri-brooke-bond-250500g-i5140947225-s21720261098.html? Shop in the above link shipped fast and the tea has recent packaging dates. I also got some 7x9 cm bags from this shop who also shipped even faster. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/i4673799049-s19246793323.html? My teabag anxiety has vanished 😋
  19. You know there's a coup when all the TV stations go off air.
  20. Yes Yahoo for some reason has stopped providing searches in Thailand its not just you. Try using duckduckgo instead https://duckduckgo.com/
  21. Perhaps they had no say in the decision ?
  22. Ha ha yeah you really want him dead ?
  23. Lets hope so..."only following ze orders " has already been dismissed as an excuse.
  24. My Thai wife often criticizes me for not honking the horn..I tell her I'm using my (minimal) brain power to avoid the dangerous situation instead of honking (100% CPU dedicated to avoiding danger) In some cases were there is not so much danger I will honk.
