Correct. 40 years in the oil industry, and be assured there is little that can be done to meaningfully control an oil slick other than to allow it to disperse over time, and to clean up wherever it makes landfall. -

Hardly noticed the pandemic. We are fortunate to have a substantial place in Rayong to retreat to from Bangkok. Miss Bangkok night life though... -
Recently went through this process via VFS/Thai Immigration with no hassle. Applied for new UK passport 9 months prior to current passport's expiry. The key is to apply personally, well in advance. You appear to have left things very late and to be using an agent, neither of which is a good idea for passport renewal.
