    Also, remember Spiro Agnew, forced to resign for corruption/tax evasion after he and Nixon had achieved one of the largest ever majorities in a USA election campaign. BTW, my UK bookmakers now offering odds on a Harris victory come November. A truly remarkable turnaround.

    He is sadly missed. The Bangkok Post has changed beyond recognition over the years. Used to be vibrant and challenging. Now safe-playing and dull.

    If I was an American, before voting for either candidate, I would want to assess the accuracy of the answers they give to questions put to them by a qualified interviewer.

    Agreed. In terms of the Thai hierarchy Thaksin has never been as powerful as some people on here seem to think.

    Clearly Srettha was set up by the 'undisclosed individual' who advised him to include Phichit in his cabinet. After following that advice he was never going to be in office for very long.

    Just another step along the path to a Chinese takeover of Thailand. Thai govt people expressing concern is BS given that it is they who have given the Chinese an open door to all things Thai.

    At one point this looked like a walkover for Trump. Not so sure now. The novelty of having a female president weighs heavily in favour if Harris, however that did not work out well for Clinton in 2016. My bookmaker is still forecasting a win for Trump, and he's seldom wrong which is why he's rich. One way or another this looks like being a very close contest.

    The Chinese aren't much bothered by being blamed for covid, or whatever. In world terms they reckon they are winning and that is all they care about.

    His requirement that tampons be made available in men's toilets is something more than 'a little bit liberal'. Doesn't make him necessarily an extreme left winger, but does make him extremely odd.

    Much the same from aged 20 to 80, after which very little alcohol and early to bed. Still run or swim, and do weights, every morning.

    Not that much by way of criminal activity, and a very small reward offered. Anyway, it's about time the use of cocaine and cannabis by adults is decriminalised in the UK.

    A long time ago my first wife and I agreed she should abort her third pregnancy, for a number of reasons, but mainly about concerns for her physical and mental health. That decision has, however, troubled us both ever since.

    As already posted it was indeed Iraq. Regarding your recommendation re tampon use, and although my philosophy during a long life has always been to be prepared to try anything at least once, I think I'll give that a miss.
