  1. Entirely wrong. Never mind. Enjoy the rest of your day, mate.
  2. Are you suggesting that is a good reason to strangle her baby with electrical wire ?
  3. How old are you ? Polio vaccines were in use by the mid 1950s, food rationing, which had virtually stopped by 1950, was necessitated by the allies resistance fight against fascism in Europe, and the rumours of the existence of no blacks, no Irish, no dogs signs in rooming houses were just that, rumours.
  4. She said her attempt to strangle her 10 month old baby with electric wire was not because of 'a lack of love'. Incredible. She should not be placed in a mental institution, she belongs in jail, for a long time.
  5. For the good of Thailand's future it is to be hoped that Pheu Thai, Thaksin, and all related entities, be wiped off the face of the political map as soon as electorally possible.
  6. The Italian was snorkelling in a restricted area. Too many tourists in Thailand arrogantly, and self-importantly, ignore local regulations and bylaws. Regarding this particular incident the expression 'Ni hao' usually means little more than 'Hello' in most situations, however it can be offensive if spoken in an aggressive manner.
  7. Songkran was once a charming and delightful celebration of the Thai new year until, that is, young foreign thugs taught the Thais how to debase the whole occasion.
  8. What is described as a picture of the victim shows her next to a dog apparently wearing dark glasses. Very odd. I wonder how this dog was really being treated.
  9. Nonsense. Young white males in the UK are being specifically targeted by people with the same opinions as yourself.
  10. So the cruelty involved in raising animals for slaughter is less important than getting them on to your plate and into your mouth.
  11. The difference is that Thailand is still recognizably Thai. Britain, however, has changed beyond belief.
  12. No names until several days will have elapsed after which a police test will confirm no alcohol in the BMW driver's system. After a few more days all will be forgotten, and another hi-so half-wit gets away scot-free with no charges.
  13. A sad comment. Don't disparage old ladies. They can be good fun.
  14. Left UK finally in 1980. I make that 45 years, spent mainly in Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan.
  15. The reality is that the UK has been badly governed for generations. Two tier policing/sentencing is just a further indication that the downward slide in Britain is going from bad to worse. Very sad to see.
  16. My first ever experience of Songkran was many years ago. I was walking on a pavement adjacent to Lumpini Park in Bangkok when a Thai lady wearing traditional Thai dress approached me and asked if she might speak with me. I agreed whereupon she sprinkled a small amount of water, from a bottle she was carrying, onto my right wrist and wished me a happy new year. It was a charming gesture, very far removed from today's antics. Other old timers will likely have similar memories.
  17. Men watching a man dancing shirtless. Not an issue.
