    Thailand has historically tried, and largely succeeded, to avoid being beholden to any one major power. Sad to see so many Thai government officials now being subservient to the Chinese.

    Some people are more sensitive than others to a change in energy/atmosphere. They are generally brighter than the rest of us.

    He was allowed back into Thailand on the condition that he stayed out of politics and led a quiet life. He failed on both counts, and could be in real trouble come the review this month of the case against him. It appears that running away to Dubai, again, is no longer an option.

    Dual pricing has never bothered me. Happens world-wide. In my own country, for example, foreign students at universities are charged up to 4 times more than locals.

    Thailand is a monarchy. I agree it is, therefore, quite surprising that so many foreigners who have chosen to live here are democrats.

    I gather he wants to run away to Dubai, again, having upset those who allowed him to return to Thailand on the condition he stayed out of politics. He has found out his departure will be blocked at any airport and is raising medical issues as a last resort. it won't work, and he is stuck. Entirely his own fault. Should have kept his mouth shut and led a quiet life.
