  1. What are you looking for ? If your into girlie bars then Angeles City about 3 hours north of Manila by bus If your into expat quiet area Duamagette is the next upcoming city for foreigners So many YouTubers promoting Duamagette now Won't be long before the farang entrepreneurs move in with businesses
  2. I wonder if a similar store would do good nowadays, I guess you can order everything online now
  3. That was another one that was for sale last time I heard , didn't it have a gay owner at one stage ?
  4. Yes I recall that Cherm Chim Had a lot of owners if I recall right
  5. Just yesterday talking to a old expat about this. It was back in 2015/16, I was chatting to middle aged 50ish farang in a cafe near Tukcom in Pattaya, he was gay and living with his boyfriend over the road in Central Condo He mentioned about the Rugby union game on that night ,I think it was NZ all blacks playing and he was excited . The next day I went to the cafe where the farang owner told me that guy had jumped off his balcony after losing on betting on the game. Rumours it was his life savings of $40,ooo to $50,000, he lost !!! However in the cafe he was so adamant his team would win ,he didn't mention betting to me though I remember it making the Pattaya newspaper at the time Just lost his money on the online gambling account he had and he just must of just become "sick " and jumped !!
  6. Probably the Sudanese people
  7. So according to you they should wait until 18 ????
  8. So what if the boy was 15 years and 11 months
  9. It's time you moved back ! You still haven't explained why you left abruptly
  10. So for all we know the boy could of said he was 16, which according to Thai law is consent sex ( without payment ) He could of been 15 years and 11 months which is still illegal of course
  11. So if he waited one more year it's legal so he was one year out and you say that
  12. Ok I didn't know that, I guess chefs maybe a exception though
  13. They are trying to market Philippines as the same when I was there last year. .....the "friendly people" with a poster on the wall of a smiling waving Filipino I never saw one smiling Filipino..all had scowls on their faces
  14. Strangely living in Sydney a big city in Australia we have Thai town but I never see thai people in permanent employment unlike Filipino, so it tells me that Thai people don't want to stay in Australia. Filipinos are everywhere in Sydney in government jobs but I never see Thai people, they are all just in casual waiter ,kitchen hand positions which tells me they are not looking to immigrate
  15. Yes maybe these were just thugs that decided a homeless farang would be a good target then again they might not have known the sleeping guy was not Filipino? I really feel sad though someone like him is forced to sleep in a street in Cebu with rats and vermin, I'm thinking of starting a Welfare type of service for foreigners if & when I move to Thailand or Philippines A volunteer type Welfare service that can provide counselling for alcohol , homelessness and helping farangs who are going it tough It will give me something to do in Asia when I retire
  16. I won't post the links but I love watching the farang YouTuber lately in the Philippines, now several of late , have had homeless farang being interviewed. one old guy sleeping on a mattress last week in Cebu Philippines, old English guy , he got bashed and robbed one night ,3 thugs bashed him in the street and broke his teeth he is trying to sell food I won't post the link but I think it was YouTube "living abroad" the second one was a American guy who was destitute as he couldn't get access to his 401k in America and had no bank account in America he was being interviewed by a YouTuber in Duamagette "Every man has a story" I really felt like crying though on the first one ,what kind of Filipino guys would bash and rob a homeless farang this is where I get scared and continue to work overtime even at 62 , I don't want to end up destitute on the streets of Asia whether that be Philippines or Thailand on another note I was enthralled to see YouTuber Geoff carter back in Thailand after a 5 year absence looking obviously a lot older but he makes me happy watching it ,smiling waving YouTubers can make me happy and sad but I love them especially at my age , I really feel sad though to see people who lost everything and have no where to go except a dirty street wasn't there a welfare services in Pattaya called The Samaritans,is that still around? Apparently Cambodia is the same homeless farangs , I hope people can show empathy why isn't their Consulate doing??
  17. Congratulations , it seems you have done your planning and shouldn't run out of money .
  18. May I ask what happened? Similar to thaibeachlovers ?
  19. The building is union are correct in saying 65yo 's don't have the stamina
  20. Ok so let's define this as the OP 23 Million he has give or take Out of that he has to pay medical insurance, buy a condo perhaps, etc I have more than 23 million baht in assets if I sold my house and cash in my retirement funds and I'm still working at nearly 62:, in fact I'm on night shift this week then Day shift next week There is absolutely no way I will risk it yet
  21. 551 non Thai killed 2022 We must get the score so far for 2023 !
  22. 2022, the Thai RSC recorded 551 foreign deaths on Thailand’s roads. A further 7,912 foreigners were injured Absolutely shocking ! 551 farangs were killed in 2022 that can fill up a whole stadium
  23. For those of us saying we don't make 100 , you still need to financially plan to age !!! No use retiring at 60 with money to last you to 80 This is why at 62 I'm doing a lot of overtime at work even 12 hour shifts which is killing me but I don't have enough to last me until 100 which I have a plan for Fail to plan....plan to fail
