  1. Basic business decision - too expensive to set up a business for a small volume. https://www.thainexusman.com/ Pre-order, 9 XL Pro 256 is 42,990 THB. I've purchased several phones from this "shop". I currently have a Pixel 8. I would NOT recommend you buy a Pixel phone here. I'm not sure you can "import" (buy from outside of Thailand) one, and you will have no warranty repair options. Buy a Samsung phone.
  2. I thought it was interesting when Ms. Bash asked about Harris and Trump never having met in person. Of course, they would have during the peaceful transfer-of-power in January 2021. But Trump, in addition to inciting an insurrection and stealing classified documents, petulantly took his ball and ran home. Sore loser. Trump is throwing a wrench into what is usually a seamless transfer of power By refusing to meet face to face with President-elect Joe Biden or attend the swearing-in Wednesday at the Capitol building that his supporters stormed on Jan. 6, Trump is attempting one last departing snub of Biden after repeatedly failing to overturn the November election results. https://www.latimes.com/politics/story/2021-01-20/trump-disrupts-seamless-transfer-of-power
  3. And remember that stiffing municipalities means that public-sector, unionized labor workers (who worked the event) have to go unpaid, or the municipality needs to over-budget.
  4. ...which Trump negotiated. But yes, I do/did. Yes, it could have been accomplished better. But then have we ever "withdrawn" from a questionably started conflict with aplomb?
  5. I think he's changed his position on abortion some 15 times over the last nine years. But Kamala Harris... Trump has flip-flopped-flipped three times in the last 48 hours. I think, as a convicted felon, he can only vote in Florida through a loop-hole since he was convicted in a State (NY) where felons can vote.
  6. While I agree that Trump will NEVER, EVER spend a single day in jail/prison - he might spend time in home confinement, you should be aware that Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederate States, was held in prison for two years. Jefferson Davis was imprisoned at Fort Monroe, Virginia for two years. He was never tried for treason, but was released on bond in May 1867. After being released, Davis and his family traveled for some time in Europe before returning to the American South. https://www.battlefields.org/learn/biographies/jefferson-davis
  7. Maybe on the top of the robe/mask?
  8. Which was initiated by Trump, who negotiated with the Taliban and who released 5,000 Taliban prisoners. Had we not withdrawn many many more than thirteen would have been KIA in the subsequent three years.
  9. Sitting Presidents or Vice-President, Trump is neither, who are not engaged in election campaigns, during Memorial Day celebrations. Go back and try again.
  10. This is known as the "third-grade" defense. "But Mom, he did it first."
  11. A not-so-thinly veiled "post". Because it is. https://dallaspolice.net/resources/Pages/Crime-reports.aspx
  12. Vance's re-tweet of that South Carolina beauty pageant participant was especially evil. When asked to comment he did not apologize, but he did flash his trademark smirk and said it was a joke. What kind of human being makes a joke about a vulnerable young woman. Way, way beyond weird. I still contend he gives off serial-killer vibes.
  13. In theory, hotels should be filling out a TM30 online for ALL guests. To do that they may need your passport number and nationality. (The address of the hotel is embedded as part of the TM30 online reporting system. No other address in Thailand is required.) As a plus one many, many times I have never, ever been asked for any details. I'd expect that some hotels adhere to the requirements, while others may be more flexible. Carrying a copy of the passport with the important details (photo page, stamp in, permission to stay) seems like the obvious thing to do.
  14. Trump and Vance should stop re-posting ANYTHING. And I'd say Trump needs to stay on issues. (As does Vance, all he does is attack, but he's toothless in that role.) But based on his performance in Potterville, MI, billed as a speech on "Economic Policy" yesterday he seems unable to focus on anything for more than a few seconds. And he was sweating profusely. Thank god he can still use the teleprompter, sort of. His mental decline is shockingly apparent. Maybe they have him on a new medication protocol? Or it's side-effects from the Ozempic? Whatever it is, it is not working. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTlAI9Z9I5Y
  15. Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump Republicans feel that Social Media Platforms totally silence conservatives voices. We will strongly regulate, or close them down, before we can ever allow this to happen. We saw what they attempted to do, and failed, in 2016. We can’t let a more sophisticated version of that....
  16. 'Nuff said. The Supreme Court will not be enlarged or "packed" unless Trump is elected, in which case he'll replace Thomas and Alito. I think everyone can agree that a code of ethics, like those for Federal Judges, is not unreasonable. And term limits should at least be debated.
  17. I'd make copies of all the pages, and carry the photo page and your current permission to stay stamp page. I'd also make copies of the passport renewal documents, including the DS-82, and maybe the Thai Post 100 baht receipt. This link works for me... https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/passports/instructions-for-ds-82-processing-by-mail-and-online-fee-payment-for-u-s-citizens-residing-in-thailand/
  18. In resurfaced remarks, Vance bashes teachers union president for not having 'some of her own' children The GOP vice presidential nominee took aim at American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten when he was running for the Senate in Ohio three years ago. “You know, so many of the leaders of the left, and I hate to be so personal about this, but they’re people without kids, trying to brainwash the minds of our children,” Vance said at a Center for Christian Virtue leadership forum moderated by conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt and the group’s president, Aaron Baer, in October 2021. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2024-election/resurfaced-remarks-vance-bashes-teachers-union-president-not-children-rcna168552 Kind of a weird thing to say when you consider the Catholic faith (priests without children) and Nuns who are teachers in Catholic schools. I can't figure out where the weirdness ends and the stupid begins with this clown. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PinFHOiOwXY
  19. Newly Released Records Show How Trump Tried to Retaliate Against Social Media For Fact-Checking A year ago today, President Trump issued an Executive Order that deputized federal agencies to retaliate against online social media services on his behalf, a disturbing and unconstitutional attack on internet free expression. To mark this ignoble anniversary, EFF and the Center for Democracy & Technology are making records from their Freedom of Information Act lawsuit over the Executive Order public. The records show how Trump planned to leverage more than $117 million worth of government online advertising to stop platforms from fact-checking or otherwise moderating his speech. Although the documents released thus far do not disclose whether government officials cut federal advertising as the Executive Order directed, they do show that the agencies’ massive online advertising budgets could easily be manipulated to coerce private platforms into adopting the president or the government’s preferred political views. https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2021/05/newly-released-records-show-how-trump-tried-retaliate-against-social-media-fact https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2020/05/dangers-trumps-executive-order-explained
  20. Utah Governor Spencer Cox accompanied Trump to Arlington National Cemetary and then used a photo in a campaign email. Utah Gov. Cox faces scrutiny for using military cemetery photo with Trump in campaign email SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah’s Republican Gov. Spencer Cox came under criticism Wednesday for sending a campaign email that featured a photo of him and former President Donald Trump at Arlington National Cemetery during a wreath-laying ceremony. Federal law prohibits campaign or election-related activities within Army National Military Cemeteries, and that rule was widely shared before the Monday ceremony, Arlington National Cemetery said Wednesday. Cox’s campaign apologized for using the photo and for politicizing the graveside ceremony, which honored Sgt. Darin Taylor Hoover of Utah, one of 13 service members killed in an airport bombing during the Afghanistan War withdrawal three years ago. The email was soliciting donations for Cox’s reelection bid. https://apnews.com/article/spencer-cox-arlington-cemetery-trump-utah-281639822fe420ae102c9dd08af02bf4 AFAIK, only three of thirteen families "invited" Trump to the three-year anniversary. Trump grinning and giving a thumbs-up is a questionable look. Trump negotiated the Afghanistan departure, with the Taliban. He also released 5,000 Taliban prisoners. Had Biden not continued it I'm sure many many more than Thirteen would have been lost in the subsequent three years.
  21. He just announced a new set of digital trading cards... https://collecttrumpcards.com/ Trump launches new $99 NFT 'digital trading cards' showing him dancing, wearing superhero suit https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2024/08/27/donald-trump-nft-digital-trading-cards/74969573007/
  22. Great Lincoln Project ad...they are definitely getting under his very thin skin, exposing him him for the sociopathic narcissist that he is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrkSRXLPzWI
  23. Calling BS on this one... IVF is NOT publically funded in the U.S. It is funded in many, many developed countries.
