  1. I have older gen Honda 3 button remote, if the third button is held down until the light flash red, the remote is 'off' and you can be near the bike and it won't start, it's supposed to be for when you are sitting on a cafe near the bike on the roadside or popping into 7-11, if you didn't turn the remote off, anyone could have hop on your bike press the lock knob and start it and rode of with you standing nearby the newer bikes seem to only have 2 buttons only, so not sure if that still work
  2. Australian citizens can obviously drive in thailand with IDP accompanying their Australian licence, but only for 1 year upon arrival, any longer then they'll need to get a Thai licence technically, but to verify that, they'll need to see your arrival stamp in the passport.... which there won't be any if she used her Thai passport or ID to enter Thailand if your wife is only carrying the photocopy of her Australian passport they won't be able to verify that and the chance at the police at the roadside knowing enough about the particular of the law enough to check is slim, so just go ahead and order the IDP from your local RAC, it's easier than getting an appointment for a new licence with Thai Land Transport Office at the moment
  3. I thought the Veloz has totally new platform, now front drive instead of rear live axle, but yeah it's a replacement for the Avanza alright but whereas the Avanza was pretty cheap at around 600,000 the Veloz is now starting shy of 800,000
  4. If she has Aussie licence, her International driving permit from Australia will obviously match her name on the aussie licence, nothing to do with her Thai ID card If she never has Thai driving licence, she can't get international driving permit from the land transport office in Thailand if she has Thai driving licence, then she can already drive in Thailand
  5. Many that specify 'lifetime oil' will make you sign a disclaimer if you want to replace the 'for life' fluid it'll void the warranty
  6. Think of it as the odds like horse racing at the bookmakers back home, some 2,3 digit numbers that's sought after this cycle will get the price that reflect their odds, on underground lottery, some thai bookies wouldn't even take certain 'hot' numbers for certain months, their odd calculation is all based in superstition of course, but there's volume to back it up, underground bookies will see the volume of bets coming in and increase the price or remove it from sale all together if they think too many is betting on them, how the punters got their number is hardly any of their concern, but even then when certain shaman or monks has been giving out good numbers for a particular long streak, they might get a hit put on them for costing the bookies too much
  7. ex ceo of a real estate company can afford expensive house is not a surprise, he also declared before taking office the PM on government salary all his life and never declared any of his assets citing 'privacy' reason is a lot more fishy
  8. people that knows the acronym is probably better suited to answer the question constructively,
  9. Yellow line on Srinakkarin rd south of the depot the tracks are all electrified, the bulk of the remaining work seems to be on station facilities, walkway and stairs are going in quite rapidly, but lifts and escalator are nowhere to be seen yet
  10. even if they had similar wording the 'could not dispense' could intend to mean that if they didn't have the vaccine in their possession to hold up their end of the deal, but the reality is that in most hospitals that did the for pay moderna there's enough to go round for a while now, it'd be hard to prove the lack of communication from the hospital, did you ever contact them to try to get an appointment to get your shot?
  11. Heard somewhere that the first phase of trial opening for the Yellow line will be from YL11 Hua Mark down only, nothing north into Lardprao rd.
  12. Paid for mine at Bumrungrad, and unless you actively look out for communications from the hospital, you'd have missed many of the chances that they open up to let you book when to take your shots, the first few lots were snapped up very quickly, we'd only manage to book ours as a 3rd shot after having had our government ones. they have been quite irregular in sending sms or email to update when the appointment booking is being taken so unless you've been checking on them when you were waiting, you might have missed your chance, but the ones I paid for at bumrungrad is valid until the end of the year, so they would have claim that you can still 'take delivery' of the vaccine now that they're in regular supply and deny you any refund which I no doubt was off the table as terms and condition when you paid up in the first place.
  13. Haven't seen much mentioned here of the Honda Lead, despite the tiny rear wheel that's purposefully done to get the roomy underseat storage, having tried one for size, the handlebar height and width fits bigger size person like us blokes better than various (not current year) Honda clicks or the typical Thai scooters, having no problem with handlebar hitting my knee unlike click or scoopy not sure if it's styled like the previous Sh150 and fits european rider better on purpose but it's a good alternative to PCX and doesn't cost as much not sure how the tiny rear wheel would handle with grocery loaded into that vast underbox and missus on pillion though Anyone here bought one?
