  1. In the comments for the video lots of Thai's are talking about how the police are smiling and laughing at the scene.
  2. Don't know how high the railings are at that hotel. If the railing is only around waist high it is very easy to fall off if you are leaning over the rail to get a better view. You will have more weight on the wrong side of the rail.
  3. On Thai news last night they were saying that the civilian that had been supposedly killed had been cremated already about 4 hours after the incident. Highly unlikely.
  4. I guess none of them work between 10am and 2pm. Convenient how they left the lunch hours open for drinking.
  5. The anonymous part is just misinformation floating around. The purpose of the blockchain is to keep a record of every single transaction.
  6. I've been there a couple of times. I never saw any prices posted. It's a tourist trap. Of course you are going to get overcharged.
  7. I don't think Thais are bothered about this sort of stuff as much as westerners are. For instance if someone is fat Thai's have no problem telling them that. In the west it would be considered impolite.
  8. In general they don't close accounts unless they have been inactive for a year with a balance of less than 2,000 baht. At that point they will start charging a monthly fee until the account is emptied.
  9. As soon as they can drive a motorcycle, so 5-6 years old.
  10. Even before covid people would wear masks when they were sick to help prevent spreading it to others. Lots of police working on the road would wear masks to protect from polution. I still see some people wearing masks now but it is in the minority. Often they are wearing them down on their chin anyways. I supposed you could flip it to the top of your head to avoid a ticket. (joke)
  11. I guess they are lucky the oil slick only affected one vehicle.
  12. The wife and I both walked in without an appointment last month to renew our licenses. This was in Ratchaburi. Only waited about 15 minutes to do the vision tests. They were doing them in groups of about 10 people.
  13. You don't need the inspection certificate until the vehicle is 8 years old.
  14. I have never seen one in Thailand. Has anyone seen them?
  15. 2,000 baht for the work done in the xrays is a bargain!
  16. I think you have to order over 1,000 baht for free delivery. It is like a 90 baht fee otherwise. Also you can still prepay for a delivery if you want. But I find paying on delivery is the best option. They are often short of some items and some are sold by weight and will cause an adjustment to the price. If you do select to pay on delivery you can not pay in cash. I always scan a QR code the driver provides after everything has been checked to pay using the bank app.
  17. The favorite list had changed to being on one page to being on several pages, which you have to scroll thru, several weeks ago. With about 10 items per page. That said, I just checked the online site and about 80% of the items I had saved are gone.
  18. Bus driver may not have been drunk but was he awake?
  19. What happened to Big Joke saying he got rid of all the overstayers?
  20. Don't sleep on your right side. That puts your stomache on top where it is easier from the gastric juices to flow back down.
  21. Because the tourist count would go down.
  22. I'm in Ratchaburi but have always been required to have 3 things for the financials. 1) letter from the bank 2) 12 month printout from the bank 3) copies of the bank book pages. And of course I also have the original bank book on hand if they ask to see it.
  23. Anyway the suggestions above are all good. You will get rid of the ants for awhile but eventually they always seem to come back. Also look for cracks along the walls and where pipes enter and try to seal them real good. I read an article not to long ago stating that their are more ants and termites than any other creature on earth.
