When I buy something from Amazon I just accept that is how much it will cost. If I happen to get some of it back that is fine. It usually takes a quite awhile before I get a message from Amazon that they are refunding some of the customs fees.
Then occasionally I get an email from Thai customs which is a bill saying I owe them some money. It doesn't show what item it was for though.
No matter what carrier international speeds are always slower than domestic here.
Maybe they finally cut the 7 trunks lines here to 1 like they have been threatening to do for some time.
In local elections here it is very common for people to receive 500 baht for voting a certain way. Of course once one candidate starts doing it other feel compelled to do the same. If push comes to shove they will say the money is not for their vote but gas money so they can attend their rallies.
If you come on an O-A visa to get an extension you will have to use one of the insurance companies on the approved list. They will all exclude any pre exsisting conditions from coverage. Thus defeating your need for insurance due to exsisting issues.
You should be able to mail it too if you don't want to go to the office. A little more work that way though.
If you go to immigration all you need is your passport and the TM47 form. Which you can get there and fill out in about 2 minutes. Or you can download it and fill out before you go.
