"Big Joke" on leave from govt service to rest with family in UK
geisha replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Quite a difference between a cop on the beat and a General Commander of the Royal Thai Police don’t you think ? Add to that , everyone !! has a right to have a personal fortune, doesn’t stop them from doing the work they want , don’t you think ? -

He is a General and deputy commander of the RTP , not a traffic policeman. Apart from that he is issue from a wealthy family and has with his wife a personal fortune. -

Hardly “doing a runner” while he has asked permission from PM and has published his depart. Don’t pretend to know everything. -

I don’t know if they have vitamin injections in Thailand, but the best treatment for women in EU is regular injections of Vit Biotine and Bebhanthen ( not sure of the last one spelling but it’s pronounced like that ) I think it’s at least two a week for 6 to 8 weeks. Also a product to massage gently into the parting of your hair, cm by cm , covering the scalp, is called Alostyl. Look that up it might need a prescription. It’s long, but the two treatments work very well. By the way, the injections work much faster than taking the same Vitamins tablet form. She might have to do it once or twice a year. I know Alostyl works for men but not sure about the vitamins. Men getting bald do not have many options medically. Ps, a good cut works as it’s psychological, you see less short hair than long in the sink so you worry less. -

Removing shoes going into a shop- selective hygiene?
geisha replied to Scouse123's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I remove shoes in my home in France and elsewhere. Sometimes I’ll ask friends to remove them too, although my friends know in advance. I have hand woven Iranian carpets, I don’t want muck on them. Fussy I am, like I keep my car clean , in and out. -

Russian woman blames period for assault on pregnant Thai shopkeeper
geisha replied to webfact's topic in Koh Samui News
Most of these arrogant people who come to Thailand have a superiority complex. They are literally treating their Thai hosts to being inferior , of less worth, and believe they can treat them as unfortunately people from certain countries were treated a hundred years ago. The woman, and any foreigner who uses unprovoked violence towards anyone , should be deported . -
Both National Police Chief And ‘Big Joke’ Transferred To PM’s Office
geisha replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Rubbish. Two sides here maybe, those who think he’s corrupt and those who think he’s too straight for his own good. Laugh if you like, I’m the latter in believing he has upset a few people , as he did the last time he was transferred to PMs office. He is also not stupid. -
Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn summoned to acknowledge money laundering charges
geisha replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This is basically the same problem he had before , when he was demoted, hidden away in an office, because he stepped on the toes of immigration. Maybe he’s gone a step too far? The illegal gambling set up is massive .Big money. -
I think you’re answering the wrong person ! It’s Dolf the nasty idiot.

Immigration Collaborates with Airlines to Enhance Passenger Experience
geisha replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Let’s face it, they are not capable of running anything smoothly, let alone a huge airport . They do not have the ability, double checking everything and everyone , bad technology, airport not designed for longer queues. They need to get the experts in, it’s not up to the airlines!! Imagine a western country asking the airlines to fix their immigration screw ups. -
I’m a snowbird. In the 80s I thought Thailand was a paradise . I spent 4/5 months here every year . Went elsewhere too, S.America mostly , but always thought when I retired I’d buy a great condo and live here. I enjoyed visiting all over Thailand often, but also all the neighboring countries, Burma, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore, even Japan., Borneo, Australia etc. Got to 60 and I decided I was better off in the South of France , my hometown , and carrying on spending my winters in Thailand. Luckily never had problems with visas, and I enjoyed leaving Thailand on the border hops or new visa hunting. I know I could never live all the year round tho. I get too bored. And paradise is long gone. I still like my news and follow AN daily , get help when I need it , now I’m 71 and life all to my liking.

Complicated scenario of abuse, passports and marriage
geisha replied to Na Fan's topic in General Topics
I would think that an urgent visit to the Embassy is needed . Is it 100% sure it is the Embassy that has her documents? Could the husband have picked them up, lied, etc ?? When she knows she can apply for a new Laotian passport . Just keep the husband at bay. -
Frenchman’s trial unveils multi-million euro Rolex replica ring
geisha replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Not true, most licensed Rolex shop have a waiting list for certain models and second hand prices of these winners are worth more than new . I have a few friends who have real Rolex and they are not millionaires. Same goes for designer handbags, the Birkin goes for 16 000 € second hand . There are spéciale shops in France selling these and they are making a fortune . As soon as a certain make comes in it’s gone in a day or two. Why not, if you have the money ? -
Yes, it’s becoming worse every year .

Whatever. the country has become a cesspool of corruption. It’s not the happy Thai smiling holiday as portrayed.
-
Good rate anyway.

The best 2 flights I’ve taken lately have been with Swiss Air. Absolutely fantastic. I was in business, great service, best meals and drinks I ever had on a flight, and lay flat . My choice now. I fly via Zurich. Classy airport and services. Gave up on Emirates since they put older 777s and business was not worth the money. Meals also not as before. Shame, as the flight times suited me perfectly.

British couple in Pattaya tell tales of Britain’s luxurious pet hotel
geisha replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
A lot of western countries have a great love of animals in general and their own pets. They are looked after properly ( with some nasty exceptions) and there is plenty of free help from vets and SPAs . Nothing like this exists in Thailand, except soi dog , and Thais don’t have this love of animals. I’ve seen some horrific sick dogs wandering the roads and no one gives a damn. They need putting out of their misery immediate. Start on a campaign with advertising to promote sterilization, where everyone who lives in a soi where there are packs of sometimes dangerous dogs , can contact them and maybe donate to sterilization. Thais are not very good at promoting worthy causes . -
If he can’t control his anger then yes, he is a danger to the public. What he did was totally unacceptable. We can all be a bit annoyed sometimes, being pushed in an airport queue, a rude answer, overcharged , but jumping on someone and putting them in hospital, does a normal person do that ? He needs locking up and deported , with a letter and photos for the Swiss authorities.
