    One thing to make sure is you confirm with the agent that immigration will provide a reciept for the cost of original stamp, extensions, multi entry and keep those receipts.

    Agents are big money for Immigration. Monies that are spread throughout the entire system especially needed in these post Covid times. If anyone has a link to a Retirement process that an agent/client handled and was then reported/arrested, please post. There are some illegal worker agents that have been reported, but biting the hand that feeds you I seriously doubt is on immigrations agenda.

    My vertebrae were bruised a few years ago in Bangkok had a difficult time sleeping for a few weeks. Never ever again, just stick to foot massage now.

    People with foreign pensions need to look at the big picture on this. SInce your money is not being spent in your home country, you really are not affected with the current hyper inflation there. Your money is worth 20% + here compared to a few years ago when it was 29-30 to USD compared to the current 38. Inflation has hit here but much less as basic things generally cost less then the west.

    TMJ happened to me also after 3 implants. It comes and goes for me some pain and some headaches, but I have learned to manage it.

    Sure, I have the funds why not. Maids in hotels everyday I leave 100 b. Restaurants 10 to 15%, golf caddy 500, etc.

    I know someone in the car business in Bangkok. Try 15 to 20k a month and getting car loans. Thais swimming in debt living off credit cards is not uncommon.

    If convicted, the sentences here I have seen for this is a few years in prison. Not sure about the UK, but the American could be subject to prosecution in the U.S. for a federal crime of having illicit sex in a foreign country. That is a 15 year sentence.

    I actually think they could make Soi Buakhao more interesting by making it a walking street only after a certain time. Cars can't move much anyway in the late evening.

    I would purposely not book a hotel if they served this breakfast. A big reason obesity and diabetes are on the rise in England. Just a terrrible greasy artery clogging mess.

    I certainly like Bangkok, but the Athenee the 20th best hotel in the world? I have stayed there it is part of Marriott. It is nice, but no way in my opinion not even one of the top 20 I have stayed in.

    You got almost 40 positive responses, so obviously others agree. I totally disagree especially at age 66 jeez, I certainly have lots of life left just as active as when I was 40 and thinking about the future all the time. The average age of death for males I believe is the mid 70ś. If I got sick and died at 66 I would feel somewhat cheated that is still not an old man in my opinion.

    Oh, I think differently this is the place everyone wants to come. A neutral country that is safe, low cost, has all the amenities, infrastructure, etc. I see it potentially as being one of the top destinations in the world next year.

    I think it is the best place in Pattaya. Decent beach, close to central, not a lot of traffic, quiet, nice properties on the beach. Depending but generally, it is probably more expensive then Jomtien for rentals.

    Can think of many pros. Make sure to protect yourself and get a prenup.
