  1. This might happen if all these kids went to International schools or boarding school overseas, then overseas Uni and finally returned to Thailand as fully Westernised adults. But from what I've seen a lot of half Farang kids are raised as Thai in Nakhon Nowhere. It saddens me when I see kids who are half Farang but the fathers are not financially capable of giving them the advantages that being half Farang should provide them.
  2. Dual Pricing in Dunns River Falls, Jamaica. Entry for adult local = $6.44
  3. Dual Pricing in New Zealand
  4. If you're in your 30's what the hell are you doing trying to find a GF or wife in Thailand?
  5. My Russian GF has a Masters degree in Education, she went to school in Dublin, Ireland and teaches at a Bangkok International School. Her English is better than most of the retired Blue collar Brits I've met, plus she speaks Russian and fluent French.
  6. Speak for yourself. I live in Bangkok and don't care what happens out in the boonies.
  7. Although I really enjoyed most shows when they were current and I was young, I've revisited a few of them and they are utter crap. Knight Rider The A-Team CHiPs Magnum PI Miami Vice etc etc It basically reinforces my opinion that old things are rubbish.
  8. More people killed in the name of god than killed in the name of Satan.
  9. Rangsit is a big place. Not sure how you could miss it ;-)

  11. I can't imagine why someone would keep working if they had the chance to quit.
  12. This looks really nice https://munnorkprivateisland.com/en/home
  13. Have you ever seen Lamb Kidneys in Thailand? I'd love to be able to get those.
  14. Yes of course, as long as you have over 1 million baht in assets you are a Thai baht millionaire. Of course in any currency there are levels of millionaire. Some people are millionaires only on paper, some are millionaires in cash and the amounts they have can vary wildly from 1 million upto 999,999,999 THB (after which they become billionaires.
  15. My parents were Amway distributor in Hong Kong, they started their Amway business in the late 70's (We arrived there in 1973, Amway opened in 1974) They made good money doing it and my mother raved about the products until she passed away last year. Multi level marketing isn't easy, like any business you have to work hard, and not everyone is cut-out to make money in that type of business. It depends a lot on who your sponsor is and how much help they give you. My parents were fortunate to be sponsored by one of the two Diamond level distributors in HK. I believe they reached the Ruby level although it may have been higher.
  16. I don't have anything in my 'home country', in fact I've never had anything, never lived there... only visited a few times. I don't even think of it as home. It is only a country that gave me a passport, nothing else.
  17. Fees are under Treatment Costs. Prices look very good compared to Bangkok.
  18. No one has raised the issue faced by old boys on pensions who won't be able to afford to take their wifey back home with them if they have to leave Thailand over this. Or the pensioners who've got kids and won't be able to afford to take their kids with them. However, I think this whole issue will blow over.
  19. There was a clue in the post - Khet had over 40 million baht in his bank after his mother sold some land.
  20. Your PA was bi-sexual. The Tom was a lesbian.
  21. Where does it mention wearing a mask to protect against Dengue?
  22. I'll probably take my GF and her daughter for a Xmas Buffet at one of the top hotels in Bangkok. A few years ago we went to the St Regis which was very nice. Their Xmas Eve Brunch is 5,000 baht ++ per person with free flow Verve Clicquot and 1,500 ++ for her daughter. Xmas Eve Dinner is 5,600 ++ and 1,800 ++
  23. I've not held a credit card for the past 23 years. Doesn't stop me from traveling to other countries.
  24. I haven't touched alcohol for 3 years. Still go out to meet friends, sometimes to bars where they will drink and I just have soda water. Not drinking doesn't mean you can't go out like you did when you were drinking.
  25. Just taking their lunch home.
