Worker found dead in Chon Buri camp, others mysteriously vanish
AgMech Cowboy replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
I know why they disappeared. After the botched investgation into the murders on Koh Tao of Hannah Witheridge and David Miller, and the conviction of 2 Myanmar men, I'd disappear, too. (Sorry, Burma Bill, I see we were thinking the same thing. My post heavily agrees with your. I commented before seeing your post. Still needed to be said more than once.). -
A New Beginning in Thailand

Yip, that's me who gave the laugh emoji. Fortunately, I never got that bug, but I've seen it in the bars (back when I was going). 👍 -
It's five o'clock somewhere. (If someone beat me to it. Great minds think alike. I don't read all the replies, either.)

A New Beginning in Thailand

Good Man, Farang. 😉 Of course that means I'll never get rid of that book. 😆 -
Here's another big Thank You for reporting your procedure. I'm new to the retirement Extensions. I hired an agent to manage it this year. I'll probably use that agent again next year, but hope I can manage it myself by 2026. 😆🤣(Who knows what the future holds. Maybe the wife slits my throat by then...)

Belgian Tourist Dies After Brutal Attack in Hua Hin
AgMech Cowboy replied to webfact's topic in Hua Hin and Cha-Am News
Stoner, you can trot that commit out all you want, but cannabis can cause violence. My son tried to assault a cop here after trying to run a check point. He'd been smoking and according to the breathalyzer only had a little alcohol in him. He becomes very agitated with me when he is high (no alcohol) if I do something or say something he doesn't like. You should hear the arguments he gets in with his Mother and she approves of him smoking. -
A New Beginning in Thailand

Are you still in Thailand? I'll be happy to post the above book to you for 300 baht. It'll save you from purchasing it new and many more Baht in the future. Just PM me to get the ball rolling. 👍🏽 -
No, I tried that back in January this year. I had Kasikornbank print a years worth of bank transactions, highlighted the deposits, copied one year of Chase Bank statements from the US showing the transfers and corresponding receipt in Kasikorn bank and prepared a summary of the transfers of the past year. It was almost THB 700,000. The man at the window who reviews the documents was polite and told me all they want to see was a deposit of THB 400,000 (and I think he said something about a bank letter). At that time, in late January, there was no requirement to season the funds, but this is also prior to their new appointment requirements. As a side comment to the appointment system, hopefully the local trade people (hotels, restaurants, taxi & tuktuk drivers) will complain to their leaders to put pressure on the Consulate to open things up a little bit. Their businesses have got to be suffering. As things have changed at the Consulate and with my age... I just finished this week obtaining a one years extension based on RETIREMENT. (I even realized I'm creeping around, shuffling sometimes, like P. J. Biden.) That's scary because I'm fully aware (and I'm a decade younger than he is).

Seriously... Piss-0ff and be rude elsewhere. I don't spend my time reading about White Lotus, Lalisa or any other crap you want to throw out there... I asked a simple question. You've done nothing but try to insult me. Yeah, LA, I 'know about Leo and his polluted beach. Now he tries to be the great environmentalist. They're all hypocrites.

Oh, I forgot to comment on the mau phet and mai wan. Kannika covered the enunciation for mai phet = my pet. I think I'll go with mai wan = my wan. pretty straight forward. Think won and put an 'A' in it instead of an 'O'. Wan means sweet and Phet means spicy hot. Mai means 'NO'.

novacort is 100% correct and you'll find most menus will have a picture of a pepper or 2 or 3 or 4 depending on it's 'heat'. I suggest that you do not eat from most of the street food vendors. That suggestion is not because the food is bad, because most are good (very good), but you don't/won't know the difference. A lot of meat in Asia (and many other countries) use the spices to make a 'questionable' meat okay to eat. That's a danger. You've planned your trip... Look for reputable restaurants in the area that you're staying and eat there. Are you staying in Bangkok and want good Thai food. I suggest "Cabbages and Condoms". They're well know.

Yes, seajea, I have read other accounts here (or maybe as far back as ThaiVisa) that new Doctors are not paid in a timely fashion. There was a long discussion then, but no resolution. I know that's not what you want to hear. I don't think it's isolated to just the medical industry, either. I think in most cases the family, a friend(s), colleague(s) or a bank (a bridging loan of some sort) are how these new unpaid graduates get by. It's not correct to do them like that, but I know it happens.

Outstanding!! Thank you, I need one of these repair places. prsmodify looks like the place for me to go.

Interesting. I normally purchase 400 mg soft gel Ibuprofen, but about every 3rd time I drop by my pharmacy to purchase medicine, they'll grab the 200 mg pills instead. I know that the 200 mg is pretty standard in Thailand.

Great question(s). I bought some CBD gummies last year from an internet ad. In the end, I look in the mirror and see one of the fools born in a minute. It does help me to sleep, does 'some' good for my aching hip joints (both have been replaced and both ache), but within a week it seems the ache gets worse. I think I should try purchasing some oil from a vender, but I don't live in town so it's very inconvenient. I hope you get some good replies.

Non O cancellation
AgMech Cowboy replied to jphasia's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I'm sure he does, but most likely, IMHO, he gets some sort of compensation for each time he accompanies someone to immigration for the company.
