    Surely legal. UK law makes it very difficult to rent to foreigners who cannot prove their immigration status. Landlords can be prosecuted for renting to illegals. Maybe in Thailand it's just easier to rent to Thais.

    Not all Expats are here because they love Thailand, its people and culture. Some of us are here because of work! I couldn't earn what I do here in my home country, and after nearly 20 years there is no likelihood of me going anywhere else. But I find Thai culture annoying, only speak very basic Thai (if I have to) and have even got sick of the food, which I used to love.

    While there's no doubt the Covid vaccine was a life saver for millions of adults, I thought it had always been understood that children were extremely unlikely to suffer any serious consequences from Covid, so why would they be vaccinated?

    Thanks. Yes, I know how to do it, but was concerned about having to make 3 appointments back to back. If only one slot is available, what do I do about my wife and kid? We all need to be present at the same time, as their Extensions piggyback on mine.

    Next month, we need to do our annual visit to Chaengwattana to extend my Work Extension and my wife's and child's Dependant extensions. Last year I only made one appointment for all 3 of us, and got told off and instructed to make three appointments next time. In order to get three consecutive appointments I'm guessing I will need to make them on the day the bookings open. Is it literally one month in advance that bookings can be made?

    Good grief, I find it difficult to believe that they were unaware of the UK's Visa requirements. I think 99.9% of UK expatriates are well aware - and 100% of those who use this Forum. Seems like the BBC are just trying to make a fuss.

    Why not just rejoin? Ok, I realise that would be impossible at the moment. But it's going to happen within the next 2-3 decades. Starmer's taking 'baby steps' towards closer integration. The generational change will speed it up. 🇪🇺
