PM stresses Thailand-U.S. partnerships in meeting with Congress members

Didn't do too badly for them in the past when it was the French and the Brits (what's a bit of land compared to colonisation). -
A nightmare - testing positive on arrival in Thailand

Some people don't do their due diligence and find their insurance won't pay out - it's on them, but of course some would rather spout BS and blame everyone but the real culprit. -
Unpleasant reading. Best not to read it.

Where did you read that? -
Doesn't have to be Thai.

You're welcome. As long as you don't need proof of money coming into Thailand for overseas it's fast too, not sure if we are there yet, but for people from other nations it's basically within seconds. If you need proof for foreign transfer (e.g. extension based on 65K monthly) and you have a Bangkok Bank account get Wise to "flag" that account so transfers show as FTT (depending on time you do transfer could add a day as they batch process around 2 pm). When you get bored look into the other functions that can be helpful depending on your travel movements: create "bank accounts" in other currencies (back in Australia for a while and $ is high against the Baht - transfer some money into your Baht account for your next trip, same with other currencies if you regularly travel to Singapore, KL etc. can quickly build a nice stash between trips and negate my usual luck of the $ getting it's <deleted> kicked just as I land), grab a debit card and use a temporary card number for online payment to minimise fraudulent use, debit card with Thai Baht account attached to it can be an emergency back up ATM card but the fees/withdrawal caps suck IMO (using it in restaurants/hotels/clubs not bad as it will use the foreign currency you obtained at the high rate first if you have it). I find it a good combo with an ING Orange Everyday as my main travel ATM card.

I'd ignore "everywhere". It's 72 hours before first flight. -

Due diligence is oft overlooked, it's more important than ever in these times. AXA has numerous reports of paying out, it's annotated as covering asymptomatic positive tests here, and the reply I got when asking the question of an agent was: "we fully cover any expenses due to a positive covid test. End of story. No gray area or fine print" If at any time I intend going with them, I'd still want it formally in writing on letter head. -

Contact them and ask them to confirm it. -
Yes.

Sounds like he is; the Covid extensions (replaced the amnesty) still need a trip to the IO to obtain.

@bolt Sorry, but there may be a "gotcha" with the above; I "think" all hotels need flight details (along with other docs) when booking, not sure if they'd accept just a flight number and without the hotel booking no TP. -

You have to tell them the flight number so if you're sure it won't get booked out you can wing it that way and grab a flight after TP is issued.
