Not ideal but not necessarily a bad thing either. We had full on sex education including a very graphic video of childbirth, one girl fainted 2 threw up and one boy threw up, of course he blamed it on the smell and sounds from the girls throwing up not the video 555

Also from your link: 1.6 Applicant must have a health insurance covering medical expenses in Thailand with a minimum coverage of 100,000 USD for COVID-19 (must be specifically mentioned). So for STV you have to have 2 policies even though the 40/400K has been replaced for Non O-A (now US$100K coverage). Personally I'd drop them an email to confirm.

FINALLY: The Insurance We've Been Looking For
Salerno replied to AJR3RD's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
Personally never heard of them, not surprising, nor is there much info on the net which is surprising for a company allegedly with more than 30 years experience. When someone asked recently, crickets: https://aseannow.com/topic/1171655-wrlife-health-insurance-anyone-usedusing-them/ Certainly would be interested in feedback from people that have had dealings with them. -
That's excellent customer service, glad it worked out so well.

Thailand Pass Is Up And Running
Salerno replied to ubonjoe's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
There are, such as AXA and Tune Protect which are a good back up policy if your normal insurance doesn't. -
It allegedly is part of the latest changes. Time will tell, but this suggests it applies to extensions: In June this year, the cabinet made changes to the regulations to allow foreigners living in Thailand to purchase insurance policies outside Thailand to meet this requirement. It had emerged that a significant number of elderly people had been forced to leave the country after living here for many years when they could not obtain the appropriate insurance cover from Thai insurers to comply with Immigration Bureau regulations. https://www.thaiexaminer.com/thai-news-foreigners/2021/10/20/health-insurance-changes-for-expat-retirees/

Thailand Pass Is Up And Running

You have to prepay it as I understand it, if not part of your package you can book it here https://www.thailandpsas.com/ If you have multiple files you need to upload and only one upload slot you can combine jpgs here https://products.aspose.app/pdf/merger/jpg-to-jpg They're looking to see you have hotel, transport and PCR booked and paid for. -
If AXA gives you cover then not an issue with TP. Does Aetna cover for asymptomatic? If not sure, check. AXA does so worth a few thousand just in case.

This one: https://asq.in.th/asq-thailand-hotels/elegant-airport-hotel-bangkok-sandbox Get in touch direct and ask if they can accommodate your needs. This isn't "normal" times so normal check-in times shouldn't apply IMO. No harm in asking. Nice try 555 You have to be taken to the hotel, no place to hang around at the airport. When are you heading back? You never know, they could start a system like Samui-plus given the amount of people that head to Chiang Mai (nothing has been said, haven't even seen any speculation, but seems logical to me). Thanks and you're welcome.

Where are you heading to anyway? Considering it's just one night I'd even consider the package an "airport hotel" (6 Km away in reality) for 3990 Bht. Quick to get to then chill out waiting for result.

Thailand Pass Is Up And Running
Salerno replied to ubonjoe's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No idea how they would handle it and personally I would leave applying until closer to the date. No need to apply more than a month out, a lot can happen in that time. -
IMO, makes life easier.

No, he's saying upload the certificate and also crop just the QR and upload that to the relevant area. -
1 Your policy must specifically mention Covid. 2 Yes. 3 You need prepaid PCR and transport to hotel (easier to get a package).
-
That has never been the case, you have always been able to use foreign insurance - the problem being getting your insurance company to supply the letter they require. https://longstay.tgia.org/document/overseas_insurance_certificate.pdf Hopefully the changes will make it easier to use foreign policies as has been reported.

SURVEY: Health Insurance for foreigners -- Good idea or not?
Salerno replied to Scott's topic in Thailand News
Yes, that would explain why you can use overseas policies.
