  1. As I said before, if you are wrong, people are going to correct you. Add to that the fact that your comments generally involve a lot of anger a racism, and you're not going to attract positive comments. You get what you put out. Perhaps, instead of trying to pretend that you're the victim, you might want to think about why you get so angry and why you have so many issues with other foreigners.
  2. Daily mail headline. Really weird that they say "by mistake". The undercover were obviously meant to look like people they would want to mug.
  3. Pretty much everything wrong with Thailand in a single situation. This would end the political career of the perpetrator in most Western countries. So many charges.
  4. So many labels and so much aggression for people who dare to disagree with you, but never a moment for any introspection... 🙄 What's good for the goose... 🤔
  5. Ouch... 🤦‍♂️ "Hi Mr White man. I know we rejected you because everyone thinks that White men are bad now, and we wanted to hire a non-White person based on their race, rather than their ability, but we didn't realise just how awful they would be. We've changed our minds now and we want you to come and dig us out of this hole we have dug for ourselves." Talk about microcosm...
  6. That would take way too much thinking and paying attention. I can't imagine most Thai drivers driving along slowing when they come near junctions, slowing when they see another car stop, gradually peeping out to make sure that roads are clear, anticipating things like that. Most just drive as fast as they can then swerve around and overtake, rather than even considering slowing down.
  7. Well, there are many areas in which universities need to be reformed.
  8. No idea. Why does it need to relate to the First Amendment?
  9. Politics, laws, economics, they can all be reversed. Look at the whole trans thing. At first people where willing to make changes in order to try to help trans people feel better. Then, after a while, all the dangers came to light and it became obvious that people weren't acting in good faith and vulnerable people were being harmed or endangered. It took a little bit of time, but gradually people woke up and things started to be put right. And that's just over the last few years. There's very often things that people can do. Even just keeping a dialogue open and voicing your concerns is enough.
  10. Pol Pot was the leftist influence. 🙄
  11. And universities need to be dragged into the modern era. They are no longer only for the elite and those who want to go into intellectual careers. They need a good shake up with a lot of fat trimmed off.
  12. Absolutely. No more government funding or tax-free status, and universities do whatever they want! If they're treated like a private businesses, maybe they will waste less money and provide a better service at a more reasonable price.
  13. Oh come on! He picked a girl up and made her dance with him, then he goaded a security guard. That's death penalty stuff in most countries... 🤔
  14. Omg. That guy and his friend need to be savagely beaten by a mob of people with kicks to the head for that! 🙄 (/s)
  15. So, if you got cancer, you wouldn't treat it? Things change, so just let it run its course?
  16. So tough he had to come back with a gun after being kicked out. 🙄
  17. It's more embarrassing for Thailand: "The drunk holidaymaker had allegedly been causing trouble on the notorious strip of sex bars in Pattaya, Thailand, during Thai New Year's celebrations. Authorities will be keen to avoid any more unwanted attention for the coastal town, which is struggling to shake off its lawless reputation."
  18. Nice story, but it isn't the same as in the OP. He wasn't attacking anyone or breaking anything. It's important to make the distinction.
  19. Unfortunately, nice people will see it and think they should avoid Thailand, while yobs will think it's the place to be! You don't attract "good" tourists by battering the "bad" ones.
  20. That's possible, but incidents like this, which aren't exactly uncommon, paint a certain picture about what happens in Thailand and how Thai people act. Especially as the people who eagerly attack tourists generally see zero consequences. Westerners aren't completely daft. They can see when there is a pattern, and those that like to drink or party, want to be able to do so in relaxing way while on holiday without worrying about being attacked due to some sort of disagreement or perceived slight. This does not promote a family friendly image.
  21. Saying that someone does not fit in the circle of another, is clearly negative/insulting. I answered to both sentences. Please read carefully before responding.
  22. Someone who is shallow, judgemental and rude is not someone I would want to date. You are free to be attracted to that sort of person, who cares far more about your bank balance or social status than your personality or values, but that's just your personal choice. Who cares? If she sounds like a bad person, I don't want to be in her circle. You're so focussed on insulting people, you're not really contributing much of relevance.
