Thai Medics Warn of Covid Surge with 11 New Deaths
BangkokReady replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The article certainly makes it sound like we're weeks away from national lock-downs, which I don't believe to be the case. It doesn't sound realistic at all. Why would it suddenly get worse now? Students are only going back to school this week. It think they're just scaremongering opportunistically due to the panic over kids going back to school. -
Thai Medics Warn of Covid Surge with 11 New Deaths

If covid is that dangerous, everyone with it should be isolating until they test negative. -
It's OK for you to have an opinion on it, of course, but to say that someone dating a 16 year old is dating a child is being dishonest. I assume you don't like the idea of an adult dating a 16 year old, which is fine, but that is then causing you to want that person to be labelled as someone who is in a relationship with "a child", because you know it sounds worse than "dating a teenager", even though the latter is accurate.

Kiwi held in Pattaya for overstaying visa by six years

Depends what there is back home. If it's the same but the weather is poor and he can't get a girl, maybe this is the better choice. -
Another fruitcake. You can tell by the way they're trying to change what has actually been said. Someone was asking about an 18 year old, someone else says the age of consent is 15, then this guy tries to change that to "young children" (which is actually going to be single figures). Pretty twisted.

All that really matters is that you love, respect and care for each other (or whatever the Thai equivalent is). Values are way more important than having identical interests anyway. Obviously, if the younger partner wants to go out drinking four nights a week and the older partner wants to stay in and read a book, you're going to face some challenges, but women in Thailand seem to be a lot more into working and spending time with family from a young age. (Probably because they don't get things given to them as easily as their Western cousins.) Drinking and partying is a pretty big red flag anyway, for some. And yeah, you could have "click" with someone half your age, then find someone your age that you have nothing in common with. The "nothing to talk about" is a cope anyway.

Why is the Thai Countryside full of discarded rubbish?
BangkokReady replied to stix40's topic in General Topics
Thai people believe it to be an OK thing to do and don't see anything negative in doing it. Asia in general isn't really a place for preserving nature and such. Just put concrete over it then you don't have to maintain it is often the attitude. -

How can they be responsible for every single part of their property? It's pretty much impossible to have any sort of organisation that could prevent a sudden and random attack everywhere within their property's boundaries. You can't have security watching everywhere all the time and thinking about what people might be about to do based on appearance and behaviour. Things need to be obvious or be reported before anyone can really be expected to address them. -

Public Indecency at Wat Phra Kaew Spurs National Outrage and Debate

While a picture only shows a fraction of a second, it is possible to look at what is happening and make certain assumptions. Assuming they remained like this throughout, you can see that they don't seem embarrassed, they aren't trying to shield their daughter, and they aren't even offering help. At the very least, they appear quite casual about the whole thing, which can obviously give you some idea about their attitude towards it. -

A good host takes care of his guests and ensures they want for nothing. -
It would actually be quite interesting if you could get an AI program to look at a poster's profile then create a series of AI images that represent their attitude and manner of interaction on the site.
