There was never any real threat to democracy. There wasn't even really a riot. Those involved were qute peaceful and simply wandered through the building taking photos. The fact that the BLM riots were far worse in every way, including being a far bigger threat to democracy, along with public safety, yet people are bringing up the Jan 6 incident in isolation, and saying only that needs to be remembered, really speaks volumes.
