U.K. Spouse Visa Financial Requirements.
Jumbo1968 replied to Jumbo1968's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
I don’t think Labour will reverse it, they want to reduce the migration figures as well but they won’t commit how they are going to do it as yet. -

The scanner only scans your main passport page nothing else, yes airport staff will check if you have a valid visa to enter Thailand as they will be responsible for paying for your flight if Thai Immigration won’t let you enter Thailand. -

It’s only scanning your personal details, there might be system in place if you are on a wanted list and the gates won’t open. 9 times out of 10 my passport for some reason never opens the gates in the U.K. and I have to get it checked manually. -

The check in staff only check if you have the correct visa, documentation etc to enter the country you are travelling to, they don’t look through your passport pages looking for stamps, it’s not in their mandate. We did advise Border Control of the overstay every month but all we had were emails confirming it was ok. -

Newcastle and Teesside the same, no Passport checks when you leave the country although they can do spot checks. We got ‘stuck’ in the U.K. for 15 months due to Covid travelling restrictions, my Thai wife was on a 6 month Visitor Visa. When we left the U.K. no questions were asked when she checked in about overstay. -

Rabbits eat lots of carrots, you never see a rabbit wearing specs.

No idea where you’re from but in the U.K. it’s £25 for an eye test although some of the franchises are ‘free’ ,they will give you the prescription even if you don't buy anyspecs. i understand they might not give you a prescription unless you pay for it, they couldn’t operate a successful business if they were giving free prescriptions out only.

Optometrists in Pattaya, they are few and far between, I would only buy specs from the place that I had the eye test as a well know chain of spec shops fitted the wrong lenses.
-
There might be plenty of shops selling specs but very few employ optometrists, they give you a very basic eye test, an Optometrists would inspect your eyes for any sign of disease not just an eye test. I had an eye test yesterday at an Optometrists last week in Nakula, it was free, they don’t charge for eye tests obviously relying on you buying specs.
-
Google optometrist and I am sure you will find one, Pattaya Bangkok hospital don’t do sight tests, they don’t employ an optometrist.

You could repeat this story a hundred times, either ignorance on the drivers part or thick, similar out side my sons school, teachers take their life in their hands trying to direct traffic and getting ignored.

I was merely suggesting closing off Soi Buakho from Soi Diane/ Soi Lenke to Pattaya Klang. if drivers were aware it was closed they would not attempt to access Soi Buakho.
