Well, one thing. Now that the baht is stronger, imports of things like foreign food will be cheaper. That block of imported cheese that went from 169 baht before Covid to 239 baht today will drop significantly. Right? Right? Right?

That's not true. I went to Chaengwattana five or six times during Covid and never needed or used a QR code. They are not needed at all.

The person named in the DOJ charges is Lauren Chen who they say directed others such as Tim Pool into Russian directed election interference. But here is where it gets interesting. You should read Lauren Chen. I see her on my twitter feed all the time. As of late, far from engaging in pro Trump manipulation, she has been attacking Trump. She and others at her media company, Tenet, have been riling up the anti-abortion fanatics to go after Trump because of his relative flexibility on abortion. If this is Russian directed, it is aimed at hurting Trump, making it anti-Trump and pro-Harris. The question is why does Putin and Russia prefer Kamala Harris? And why do they want to hurt Trump?

One more little thing leads to one more little thing on to one more and on and on and on it goes with the prolongation of life. At least I think that is how the trap is sprung in the West. I know it's that way in the US. Over the space of a couple of years, someone moves from being mobile, cognizant, completely aware to gradually being shut away. My feeling is that is less likely to occur in Thailand. Something will get you here, medically, financially, or physically, before you're stuffed up in a room with I Love Lucy going 24 hours per day.

After Bob Newhart died about six weeks ago, I decided to watch Newhart, as I had never seen a single episode. Finished going through it a few days ago. It's really low brow stuff. Disappointing. The three woodsmen, Larry, Darryl, and the other Darryl, is just outright stupid. Bad ensemble acting. At the end Bob looked like he had decided to check out early. Such a contrast to Newhart's earliere series, The Bob Newhart Show, which I've also been rewatching. I enjoyed it at its first run and it's still funny today. Sophisticated, understated humor, with hyperactive characters being barely under control. One of the best ensembles in TV history, with the psych patients. Howard Borden does wear thin, but the rest never do so.
