  1. Either one will be a disaster. And they'll both end up doing just about the same things anyway.
  2. Republican voters are the ones responsible for nominating this disgrace of a human being. Any other serious Republican candidate would have demolished anyone the Democrats put up. But, no, they had to nominate the only person who could lose, Trump.
  3. It isn't an ally or a country beyond serious sanctions.
  4. What's bad about that? I'll not vote for Trump, but one of the reasons is he just said the opposite of what you posted. He wants more immigration. If he really endorsed what you posted, I might reconsider him. But I won't. He lies and can't be trusted.
  5. His grip gets tighter every day.
  6. Finally seeing that China is purely predatory in its mercantile aggression against neighboring countries. Too late.
  7. Delay until it becomes another of those policies that are just around the corner.
  8. Gold deposits of 31 million tons in Uganda alone. There is always plenty of new gold to be found, inevitably pushing the price lower. https://www.reuters.com/article/markets/currencies/uganda-says-exploration-results-show-it-has-31-million-tonnes-of-gold-ore-idUSKBN2NP16Y/
  9. Gold shops only buy at a huge discount to the spot price.
  10. Unless your gold turns out to be tungsten.
  11. Not okay with those. Just as I'm not okay with Trump's plan to increase immigration because of AI.
  12. No, I'll vote for RFKjr. My last domicile in the US was Texas. https://www.sos.texas.gov/about/newsreleases/2024/080824.shtml
  13. Not much difference, there. I agree. That's why I support RFKjr.
  14. Plenty of time to set a favorable groundwork for his defense. It'll all be forgotten.
  15. He thinks it's good for exports. And he'll do it the same way he did it during the last term, QE, printing money.
  16. Donald Trump wants a weak dollar, which will hurt my monthly SSA transferred to Thailand. I don't need another reason to hate him. But since you ask: his word is worthless, not to his wives or to his voters. Just the other day, he talked about the need to increase immigration because, get this!, of AI. He cheats people on business contracts. He considers himself the King of Debt, leaving the little people holding the bag. He's a terrible judge of character. And he has a childish preoccupation with size. I don't believe him. I don't trust him. I wish he would go away.
  17. What is the difference between what you say about btc and gold? People only amass gold because people have always amassed gold. What is there intrinsically that makes gold valuable? Some jewelry, yes. Perhaps some technological applications. Otherwise, it's only valuable because people agree it's valuable. And they're finding more and more of the stuff all the time. In the 14th century, Mansa Musa dropped so much gold on the world that the price was depressed for a dozen years. Personally, I like gold coins, their feel and their weight. But there is no reason for one item (gold) to be valuable and the other (BTC) not. That wasn't true at the beginning. But it seems to me that so many people are invested in the BTC system wide that it's like those people who buy Apple products and can never go to another brand because of their ongoing investment. BTC hit critical mass, I think. Ultimately, it's advantage over gold is portability, storage, and immediate conversion. (Go to a gold dealer and ask for the current spot price in gold and watch him only offer a good slice off it.) At least with BTC you get the real price executed, instead of being stonewalled by gold dealers only willing to give you $100 or more less per ounce than the spot price.
  18. A real estate correction will never happen as long as Blackstone and the like keep stepping in to buy individual homes and corner the rental market. Something of this scale is new and never has happened before.
  19. Not in my particular case. I could see what was happening from my seat in the waiting area. I know who the hard ass was and know the others were more willing to process things without a hitch.
  20. Actually, mine was not all that smooth either. There was one particular officer determined to make things a pain and spin out the experience as long as possible. Fortunately, that person was balanced by a much kinder person who once I was at the table and paying the 1900 made things go quickly--only had to wait about four or five minutes for them to return my passports with the new extension.
  21. I also use Bangkok Bank. Here was my procedure for my recently completed extension last week. 1) Went to Bangkok Bank at Central Pinklao and asked for a year long statement for immigration. They provide the forms, which you sign, and then pay 200 baht. 2) They issue you a stamped receipt similar to the one you receive for you yearly bank letter. 3) You provide an email address and they email you the 12 month statement. I went to Bangkok Bank Central Pinklao and made my request on 10 August, a Saturday (there was a holiday on Monday 12 August). I received the email with the statement on the afternoon of 14 August, the day before my appointment to extend at Chaengwattana. Morning of the 15th took the pdf statement on a flash drive and printed it out at Chaengwattan. But of course I didn't need it. It wasn't asked for, and I didn't volunteer it to immigration. But I had it just in case.
  22. Strange. No mention of April and May 2010.
  23. Why can't people be satisfied being filthy rich and simply enjoying their life and all their houses, cars, luxury vacations, servants, jewels, expensive drink and food?
