EVERYWHERE, and I mean, everywhere in Pattaya now, there are ganga cafe's, ganga shops, ganga this and ganga that! Do that many people really use the stuff? I'm sick of seeing it everywhere!

Female entertainer reportedly attacked by capricious client
CanadaSam replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
You don't do that. You NEVER hit a woman hard enough to cause bruises or blood. Doesn't matter about the reason. Just don't do it. -
Dont understand the question. You expect contaminants in the air to stop UVB from reaching your rooftop? For what purpose? Your roof will stop all UVB if you are indoors. If you are outdoors, put on sunscreen, as MRT suggested.

Racheting up the pressure, huh? I suppose it was necessary, high time to call the bluffs of these dictatorships, hopefully getting them to the negotiating tables with a stronger hand on our side. Hope things work out as the anylists are predicting!- 1 reply

Extension of the 45 days on arrival?
CanadaSam replied to coralia's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Tedious reading, overthinking things, it's really quite simple, get the 45 days when you arrive, please do the residence TM30 within 3 days of arrival in Thailand, either through a hotel or if staying in a residence, with the home ownership document, and their ID/Passport copy, then get your 30 day extension about 10 or 12 days before your 45 days expires, and you're right as rain. Enjoy your trip to beautiful Thailand! -
Pay at 7-11 for Lazada.....This option seems to be gone...
CanadaSam replied to redwood1's topic in General Topics
When paying in advance, I notice that the delivery guy makes very little effort to contact me, simply leaves the stuff at juristic office or wherever. When paying COD, they always make sincere efforts to contact me, and I take possession of the products, and then pay by scanning or transferring from my phone. -
IMO Eatigo is the THE app for dining at expensive hotels, usually 50% off if you book through the app.

Plane Returns To Phuket Airport After Extra Passenger Found On Board
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Oh for Christ's sake, let it be! Let the guy fly, it probably was not his fault anyway! All you armchair bandits doing all you want wont really solve anything! Fly! -
Jesus, I have to listen to these idiot birds crowing at 4 AM? I thought they were supposed to crow at dawn? Damn!

Alleged serial fraudster arrested for selling non-existent Rolex!
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
Of course! Why else would she be arrested? -
If you really need to be at the airport very early, don't depend of bus service that day. Take a bus a day earlier to the airport, stay at a nice hotel very close to the airport, and leisurely have a great breakfast and then check in and board your flight. Bon Voyage!

Netizens Blast Building A Drain Higher Than The Road
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Come on guys, give these guys a break, they're trying, to the best of their ability. Have a beer and enjoy beautiful Thailand! -
Since I discovered BOLT, I never use any other taxi, and quite often find Bolt fares much less than even the "win" bikes!!!

OP, you seem to be worried about him, so I'll put in my 2 cents. I agree with the two who suggested epileptic fit, the main clue would be the violent shaking. Also, epilepsy is triggered by many causes, but the main ones I think are loud music, flashing lights, and so on, so you could ask yourself if anything like that was present in the bar at the time. Anyway, you two guys (and bar staff) were concerned, while the other 50 or so people were not, so I would relax a bit, because you did whatever you could do. Finally, both the 1669 number poster is to be thanked, as well as the guy who mentioned Government Emergency Number. Relax, it's over. Good on you for trying to help!

Proton, any type of music, I love all music. If I had a preference it would be English, oldies (70's 80's). Thank you for the two of you that pointed me in the right direction! Cheers, Sam. By the way, I usually stay up till midnight, I just like to start at about 6ish.

Microwave?
CanadaSam replied to OneMoreFarang's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
Couldn't live without one!!! Mainly because I always buy extra food from FoodPanda, Grab etc. or even at roadside places, and freeze them in small portions. Then, straight on to a plate and in the micro, and voila, hot "fresh" food in a couple minutes or less! NO washing pots, pans, etc., only the plate you eat from. Love them thingamajiggies! -
Hi, I love to listen to music while having a few beers, but I don't like drinking at home. Does anybody know of any bars which play decent music during the day, or early evenings? I like to start around 6 PM, but it seems most bars start their music / live bands at 7, 8, 9 PM or even later! Thanks in advance!

AirBnb host tells me they never make TM30
CanadaSam replied to daejung's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
At many immigration offices, you can do it yourself. Also, visa agents charge anywhere between 300 to 1000 baht to do it for you, you only need to provide your passport copies and lease / rental agreement (signed).
