Please point out exactly where I made any claim to the statement being articulate, persuasive or eloquent; that notwithstanding, please explain how the comment was inarticulate. -

Oh, no, Joe, not another one I hope; surely you haven’t fallen for the biggest consumer con-trick of the twenty first century, and bought an EV ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -

EV’s ….. the Betamax of the twenty first century. -
Well, that’s just about the most smug, sanctimonious, condescending comment I’ve ever read on here; but now that you have vilified most of the other posters on this forum with your sweeping generalisation, can you please give just one example of where any poster has said “The Middle East is a foreign wasteland of "camel-riding rag-heads with curved knives"
-
Here in your original post from which I have copied and am pasting below: “Hamas began sending thousands of its forces onto the streets to establish control. The deployment—envisioned by the agreement that pauses the fighting while the combatants exchange hostages for prisoners—highlights how the U.S.-designated terrorist group remains the dominant power in the territory” Seems that you don't even know what you have said now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
Mind reading is superfluous to requirements, when you have made your position towards Israel and Hamas transparently clear on many threads. Those on the far left (and antisemites) follow a few particular dictums; the one you used is the classic side step of not referring to Hamas as terrorists, or a terrorist organisation. The BBC, where I’m sure a job awaits you, still only describe Hamas as a “Government proscribed terrorist organisation” The BBC is institutionally antisemitic, something that predates the present conflict by decades, rather than years; it was ever thus at the BBC. It would have been far easier for you when referring to Hamas, to write “the terrorist group” rather than “the U.S.-designated terrorist group” but you just couldn’t bring yourself to write it without the disclaimer; you made a conscious decision to prefix terrorist group, with U.S.-designated, you fool nobody, I see you.
-
The thing that I find incredibly alarming, and most disturbing about your post, is that you seem to be really pleased that a vile, murderous terrorist organisation, one that committed the most barbaric atrocities in modern history, is still in power in Gaza. There was an early clue to your position, when you couldn’t bring yourself to call Hamas a terrorist organisation, but had to call it a “US designated terrorist group” …… quite sickening to be honest.

Well, the reason I claim that it is not about sexuality, is because this is your comment that I originally replied to, and engaged with you about: “America moves backwards. - "It is the policy of the United States to recognize two sexes, male and female” This comment that you made is not in any way about sexuality, sexual orientation, being gay, lesbian, trans, or any other form of sexual identity; it is simply berating America for only recognising two biological sexes, male and female. However, you have subsequently tried to change the content of the comment that you made, because having berated America for only recognising two biological sexes, you seem unable to tell everyone which other sexes they excluded, so please enlighten us all.
-
It was not about sexuality at all; it was your claim that America is moving backwards because it only recognises two sexes, male and female; nothing whatsoever to do with sexuality, or sexual orientation for that matter, if that is your implication. Resorting to calling me narrow minded and bigoted, because I believe in scientifically and biologically proven facts, merely serves to make you look ill informed, angry and petulant.
-
Why do you falsely claim that America is moving backwards because its policy is to recognise two sexes ? There are only two biological sexes, male and female; this is factual, and immutable. It has nothing to do with the claims of myriad genders, that issue is both arguable and extremely complex. However, the sex of a human is decided at conception, and recognised at birth, and there are only two sexes, male, and female; so your claim is both unfair, and scientifically unfounded.

Not sure what point, if any, you are trying to make; individual members of a population do not sign the Paris Accord, the country in which they live signs. So the per capita numbers do nothing to alter the fact that China is responsible for almost a third of the CO2 emissions of the 195 countries of the world. It is not the fault of the rest of the world that China has a population of 1.4 billion, which nicely massage the per capita numbers.

This is more excellent news from Trump. The US has been by far the largest financial contributor to the WHO, yet the WHO has been a slavish nodding dog for China throughout; the malodorous Director General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, is right up there in terms of corruption with UN Director General António Guterres, and Gianni Infantino. Next he needs to withdraw the US from the corrupt, and no longer fit for purpose, UN, and threaten to leave NATO unless the other member states make their mandatory percentage of GDP contributions, and stop piggybacking of the US, of which Germany are particularly guilty. The west needs to wake up to the myriad existential threats that it now faces in a changing world, and Trump, despite all his flaws, is probably the only world leader able to wake up the west .
-
So China who signed, and are committed to the Paris Accord, are, from the lates figures I could find, responsible for 32.88% of the World’s CO2 emissions, while the US who are withdrawing from the Accord, are only responsible for 12.60% ……….. being a signatory certainly doesn’t seem to have harnessed China’s unquenchable hunger for more and more coal fuelled power stations does it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
I don’t follow US politics closely, but Trump has made a pretty good start in my book by immediately withdrawing the US from the Paris Accord, saying, “The United States will not sabotage our own industries while China pollutes with impunity” Just need to convince all the Net Zero nut jobs in the UK now, and get Ed Miliband sectioned.

Labour Faces 'conspiracy of silence' on Grooming Gangs Inquiry
Eloquent pilgrim replied to Social Media's topic in World News
This is completely untrue and is consequently false information; there is no reason, legal, or otherwise, that the recommendations of the IICSA (Jay) Inquiry cannot be implemented, whilst a full independent inquiry is held investigating specifically the Pakistani rape gangs operating throughout the UK, which is the real issue here. If you knew anything about the UK you would know that there is a burgeoning groundswell of public opinion demanding a full independent inquiry into the devastation caused by scores of Pakistani Muslim rape gangs, and into those responsible for both enabling this to happen, and for covering it up. -
Has Elon Musk become an existential threat to humanity?

Oh look, a really brainy poster has told us that anyone of a different opinion to his, is brainless; how edifying, your lack of self awareness is staggering. -

No, but he may have become an existential threat to the scores of Pakistani Muslim rape gangs in the UK; and for that alone I will be forever grateful. -
Labour Faces 'conspiracy of silence' on Grooming Gangs Inquiry
Eloquent pilgrim replied to Social Media's topic in World News
The problem is that the previous enquiry, the IICSA (Jay Inquiry) only focused on 6 case study areas; Tower Hamlets, Bristol, Durham, Warwickshire, St Helens, and Swansea. The inquiry ignored Oxford, Rotherham, Telford, Rochdale, Oldham, Huddersfield, Newcastle, Bradford, Dewsbury, Keighley, Peterborough, and all the other areas of the 50 that have been identified as having Pakistani rape gangs operating. There is no reason, either legally, or otherwise, that the recommendations of the Jay Inquiry cannot be implemented, whilst a full independent inquiry is held investigating specifically the Pakistani rape gangs throughout the UK, which is the real issue here. Local inquiries do not cut the mustard, because they do not have the power to compel people to give evidence, so anyone that knows they will be exposed or shown in bad light, can just refuse to cooperate, or give evidence under oath. -
Wonderful to see these three totally innocent women finally released from the torture of captivity, even if Israel had to release ninety Palestinian prisoners in exchange; it bears testament to the high value that Israel places on the lives of its citizens. Contrast this with the complete disdain that the government of Gaza has for its citizens, witnessed by their deliberate sacrifice of thousands of Palestinian lives just to feed their propaganda agenda; propaganda that the left wing liberals, plus the gullible and incurious in western societies have been, and still are, kowtowing to. Although wonderful to see them released, it was sickening to see the way in which it was done; surrounded by gun-toting terrorists in masks and fatigues, still jostling and intimidating them to the very end; their appalling actions are driven by the same ideology that we live amongst in the west, the one that has given rise to the rape gangs and the weekly antisemitic flag waving marches in the UK. ………………………… it is time for people to join up the dots, if it’s not too late.
-
Nonsense; you only wrote two lines, and the first one was “It looks like Hamas are keeping their side of the deal” And when you wrote that, you already knew that they had broken the terms of the agreement. They only had to give the names of three hostages to be released, and should have done so 24 hours prior to the planned time; they hadn’t even done so as the planned time arrived, but you still tried to promote them as the good guys ‘keeping their side of the deal’ when it was blatantly untrue and you knew it. That is promoting Hamas in a favourable light, and they are a vile terrorist organisation, which you also know; why you defend them is beyond me.
-
Oh, here’s a surprise; a left wing Guardian reader promoting a terrorist organisation as the good guys for 'keeping their side of the deal', when they have in fact, broken the terms of the cease fire agreement before it could even be implemented. Your prejudice against, and hatred for, Israel, has cajoled you into promoting and supporting the most barbaric terrorist organisation in modern history …. utterly shameful
