  1. That's what I'm posting. He entered on foreign passport. When he exits Thailand he should produce his foreign passport.
  2. Indeed. To add.... Suggest if no compelling reason to use Laos then eVisa for Thailand can be obtained elsewhere. Along with option of obtaining non O in Thailand. If that's the visa he is after.
  3. Yes either by land border or via air suggest the OP uses same pp he entered Thailand.
  4. I can't give sound advice on this. Suggest that you exit Thailand using same foreign passport you entered with. Obviously have your Thai passport with you and explain you a Thai citizen.
  5. Forget that plan. What visa are you applying for. Non O retirement? You can obtain an eVisa in places such as Saigon etc OR do a border bounce for visa exempt entry and obtain Non O at your local immigration office. Assume you have a Thai bank account in your name only
  6. Very good advice. I intend to apply for extension early in 45 day CW window next year and if knocked back will either use agent or visit Saigon for a non O retirement eVisa.
  7. Yes that's what I was referring to. As for the bank account. For the 12 month extension there is few things required: 1. "Bank Letter" This just confirms you are the account holder and balance at time of application. 2. "Bank Statement". For first extension bank statement most likely not required. Photocopies of bank book pages and first page showing account # and your name 3. Some offices require an update or deposit on day of application. SCB do not have branch at CW. For points 1 and 2 that can be obtained up to week prior however most obtain bank letter and bank statement (if needed) day prior. As for a lease...being your first application for non O and subsequent 12 month extension the immigration office should accept a TM30. Note: you must apply for first extension at immigration office you obtained the non O. As for the financials (non O) just have 800k in bank on day of application. Needs to be transferred from abroad.
  8. The link you had attached is to obtain non O Here is thread with links to other threads to explain what's required https://aseannow.com/topic/1331945-documents-for-changing-visa-exempt-to-non-immig-o-at-cw/
  9. Several off topic posts re usefulness or otherwise pink ID removed. Again
  10. I explained that to the io (boss lady) Nov 5. Pointed out I had already made 10 monthly transfers and will continue with the transfers till my next extension. She replied "make sure you keep 800k for next 3 months"
  11. My guess is : Come next November I will obtain bank letter for each bank account and make small deposit into each account. Will provide 12 month bank statement for the 800k account and photocopies of the account that is covering the two day shortfall. Turns out the sleeper account has 8k balance and the dip was 1600b
  12. Yes I'm looking for a report of using 2 accounts different banks. Two accounts discussed in this thread https://aseannow.com/topic/1279935-using-2-bank-accounts-for-retirement-visa/
  13. I have used two accounts previously at CW but they were with same bank (Kasikorn) This other bank account is with different bank. This issue pops up from time to time. Usually wife/gf error. I'm not sure of immigration attitude to two accounts different bank .
  14. I travel out of Thailand and currently immigration is requiring TM47 in person after return. Online not available. A trip to CW even with appointment for report is a big deal.. I can imagine some folk chosing fine option.
  15. Definitely an option for myself looking into future. Hip replacement had knocked my mobility on the head and while no problem to drive to CW immigration that joint is huge. Even the walk to the Massive B2 Building from carpark is bit of issue.
  16. I had forgotten about an account I have in another bank which would have approx 5k (different bank) Might save me. Don't know how did not occur to me as have previously suggested it as possible solution. I wonder if a bank letter is also required for that bank account just to cover the 2 day small shortfall.
  17. You click on a word in post you want to quote and slowly extend to sentence you wish to deal with. Shown in screenshot. Or just hit quote bottom left of the post you wish to deal with and the whole post will pop up and you add your question..
  18. In that case a METV is very good option
  19. Anyone familiar with good agent in Bangkok? Am aware of ThaiVisaCenter. In Pattaya have previously met with Maneerat (unrelated to current situation)
  20. Don't see much value in obtaining a tourist visa as it provides 60 day stamp same as visa exempt. With your history visa exempt entry no problem. As for METV that depends on how long you wish to stay in Thailand.
  21. I deal with CW and that office is strict on the financials. I was actually changing to income method. Have been transferring 120k/month for several months. Most recent extension Nov 5, I asked head io about next extension using income. Her reply "yes can just keep 800k for next 3 months" 😭😭
  22. That's what seems most likely. Very fond of Saigon so could easily mini holiday and obtain a non O eVisa there.
  23. So it happened...the old story partner "accidentally" withdrew from my "immigration bank account". Down to 798k and just now replaced after one/two days. Extension obtained Nov 5 valid till Nov 8 2025. So my choices: 1. Start over. Either border bounce and obtain new non O at CW or fly somewhere such as Saigon and obtain eVisa non O retirement. 2. Use an agent for next extension. 3. See what happens with DTV Any suggestions welcome. Main reason of posting, is all the threads I have read of guys similar story I have just thought how ridiculous to allow that to happen. Yet it does.
  24. Correct. Just requires 400k in your Thai bank account on day of application. Assume you are not dealing with Jomitien. Which immigration office? Here is link to thread outlining the process. https://aseannow.com/topic/1315828-visa-exempt-to-90-day-non-o-spouse-visa-conversion-in-thailand/
  25. All the best. Plenty folk get out of step re finances or simple error. You have fall back plans
