  1. Thanks for report An update of Bank Book would be very helpful to others. Yes Tod Daniels posted that the desks were moved upstairs. Good luck with moving forward.
  2. As usual... You ask advice on what you already know. Have had several threads with common theme. What is your question if you indeed have one
  3. You are confused. A 60 day extension to visit wife is relatively simple. 50k would be for a Non O + 12 month extension based on retirement. In any event nothing to do with OP thread.
  4. Some folk sweeping under the carpet that immigration can do home visit.. If your immigration office does not then all good however many do a home visit.
  5. ThaiVisaCentre will pick up your passport and attend immigration for a 30 day extension to tourist visa or visa exempt entry. For 60 day you can exit Thailand and reenter visa exempt. The only 60 day extension is for reason "to visit Thai wife"
  6. For retirement it's 800k two months and 3 months after application. Not below 400k in other months. It's just a coincidence that it's 400k for marriage two months prior to application.
  7. I don't believe that. It did occur MANY years ago. Just not possible now.
  8. Not off topic question at all. The 30 day extension will be issued by local immigration office.
  9. That's crazy if living in Thailand. You can obtain a COR from immigration and with a lease (as per OP) should be able to open a thai bank account
  10. Have lived in both + other places in Japan. Thanks for parrot info..
  11. So did you obtain COR. From CW it will take about 4-5 business days.
  12. An option would be fly to Udon Thani and do a border run. Agent can assist or take couple night stay in Vientiane
  13. Where are currently located. Also current thread running https://aseannow.com/topic/1365639-safest-and-easiest-thailand-border-run-checkpoint-in-2025-–-any-recommendations/
  14. Was that using a minivan company? Would be great if there were minivan agents doing run from Udon Thani to Nong Khai. I'm not aware of any. Option for those located Bangkok (and elsewhere) to fly to UT and quick bounce to friendship bridge.
  15. Just one person's opinion. I would skip the setv idea. Fly to Saigon. Stay however you like. Fly into Thailand visa exempt with a pre arranged safe entry airport service. Even better if from a country visa exempt to enter Vietnam. https://www.facebook.com/share/1V4UMpb27x/
  16. I can only guess his thinking is that a tourist visa guarentees entry. Which it does not necessarily He is best off using a agent for border bounce or agent for "safe entry" airport and as you point out both give (currently) the same 60 day stamp. A DTV comes to mind as better option.
  17. That's the issue. They don't have rules. Previously that had limit of 2 visa exempt entries via land per calendar year. That rule was removed and no stated limit in place. Visa exempt via air also has no stated limit. Yes agents can assist. Unfortunately the borders to Cambodia are closed so less options available. The OP could consider the planned setv (eVisa) and do a trip out and reenter via air using safe entry services at airport. With so much history may be slightly more expensive. At a guess 5-6k
  18. What you describe is 9 months in Thailand after which apply for a setv. Yes you can apply.
  19. When a 90 online report is pending it can be a concern as a trip in person to immigration can be very difficult depending on how far from immigration you are located along with the office itself.
  20. Link for Online download forms posted earlier. I also found this one user friendly. https://immigrationbangkok.com/?page_id=2626
  21. You most likely are aware that sending the mail when in panic over pending delay does not derail the online application. I once was in panic and did both. The mail was eventually returned with "already approved" Written on application.
  22. Some points covered in these recent threads https://aseannow.com/topic/1360006-non-o-visa-vientiane-laos/ https://aseannow.com/topic/1365902-non-o-marriage-visa-run/
  23. My most two recent ones (CW) took approx 3 days from pending to approval
