  1. Attend immigration office Monday and do the TM47 in person. You can do it 7 days late in person and avoid the 2000b fine. Email reminder is hit and miss. Put it in Google calendar best policy.
  2. I use a dedicated bank account for immigration. CW insists that from (2 years ago) that I provide a 12 month bank statement. Previously (10+ years) just my bank book and photocopies of pages was sufficient. When I questioned Why? The answer was ..."in some months no deposit withdrawal" Agree, ridiculous
  3. Non O-A can only be obtained in home country or country where you have permanent residence status. A non O can be obtained in home country or nearby Thai consulates/embassies eg Savannakhet. Also countries that provide eVisa. Note some countries will be switching to eVisa eg Vietnam. Non O can also be obtain in Thailand at immigration from a visa exempt or tourist visa entry.
  4. Fee is 100b for "bank letter" that confirms account is active, you are the owner and balance on date of issue. 12 month bank statement is printout of all the transactions over past 12 months. Cost 200b Bank letter issued on the spot. Bank statements issue on the spot for most banks however approx 5-7 days for BBL
  5. Failing obtaining an appointment.. Arriving just prior to lunch break you could obtain que ticket and use the hour to do any extra paperwork eg bank letter etc.. The que desk lady will want to see your filled out TM7 (extension form)
  6. Just now I tried for appointment for extension marriage. Calendar shows October FULL Not letting me move to November. Don't understand that. I can move to one month in advance for Retirement. As pointed out I have appointments for Nov 5 made week ago
  7. I made 2 appointments at CW a week ago for November 5. One for extension retirement and one for TM47 I used this link https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/onlineservice-and-publicguide/ Note: off topic..you can now make appointments for COR. Also you can print out your appointment on the spot
  8. The OP would be obtaining the non O retirement eVisa.. Entering Thailand and presumably obtaining 12 month extension. No point taking the funds out as it needs to be seasoned for 2 months for the extension. If not planning on obtaining the extension then yes could withdraw funds once eVisa issued
  9. Excellent OP report in this thread October at KK.. @KhunBENQ My last two extensions at CW (using money in bank method) the io wanted 12 month bank statement. The reason is that some months had zero transactions. (Ridiculous)
  10. OP, being UK you could do as @Mutt Daeng suggested and obtain a non O eVisa. Based on marriage or retirement (if 50+) That option would avoid and dealings with immigration. Yes visa exempt entry is currently 60 days and can be extended by 30 days at immigration. That would require a TM30 and 1900b cost of extension. Airline at departure may require an onward flight within 60 days. You have a return ticket (same airline?) should not be an issue with explanation that you are obtaining 30 day extension.
  11. Would help if you listed your home country. @Pattaya57 applied for a non O based on retirement eVisa while in AU. Will post his experience at some point.
  12. Probably moreso in the boonies. I just find it amazing that a farang can "volunteer" any assistance that deals with children ie schools in any role.
  13. Followed later by ... Are you serious.
  14. https://thethaiger.com/news/bangkok/volunteer-teaching-english-to-underprivileged-children-in-bangkok That's a link to article in Thaiger.
  15. "Few weeks" in other words coming most likely visa exempt and wants to work in a school. Surely you are aware of how insane that plan is. Wouldn't have near any of my kids (if I had any) Consider google "Soi dog foundation" located Phuket. They have easy options for volunteering.. Minimum period 2 days.

  17. Post discussing a member and reply removed.
  18. OP, the above replies align with the PM I previously sent you. Immigration will advise you cannot obtain non O from your permission of stay in the "6th year" however no harm in asking. Your options would be border bounce without reentry permit after PE visa expires and obtain non O at your immigration office or as suggested above obtain non O in nearby country Thai embassy/consulate. Note that by the time you may need to do this eVisa (most likely) available
  19. Current thread running. Link posted. Thread closed
  20. Off topic posts re advantages or not, removed. The OP is not asking about usefulness of pink ID and yellow book.
