  1. If you are getting car and bike licience the Transport office will accept one COR and a photocopy..
  2. https://aseannow.com/topic/1307506-good-visa-agent-in-2023-recommendation/ Would help if you outline what you require from agent
  3. Correct. Obviously most would add few days. You have bank account in place?
  4. Thread closed at OP request
  5. Non O can be applied for with minimum 15 days remaining on permission of stay from visa exempt entry. Note some offices require longer CM 21, Phuket 15 working days etc Do you have a Thai bank account in your name only. Process outlined here https://aseannow.com/topic/1311886-visa-exempt-to-retirement-extension-process-and-cost/ Note: Jomitien were asking for 800k in bank for 2 months prior to application for non O. The actual rule is 800k on day of application (no seasoning)
  6. So you have used "income method" after Oz embassy stopped providing income letter and the monthly deposit has varied between 70k-250k
  7. "Certificate of money transfer from abroad"
  8. Fine. Which land transport offices (district) allow renewal to 5 year TDL on tourist status https://aseannow.com/topic/1271748-5-year-drivers-license-with-just-a-tourist-visa/
  9. For many folk being able to obtain eVisa for Thailand while in eg Vietnam is big win. Currently visa exempt being 60 days not such big deal however moving forward this eVisa addition good news.
  10. I'm not up to speed with your question. Bit off topic ...I had friend visit Thailand recently. Oz guy and had health travel insurance. He had heart arrhythmia in Pattaya. The hospital required 100k baht to admit him which I transferred.
  11. Good summary. Think important option is to include "self insure" option as many elderly expats have exclusions that makes insurance almost impossible. Requiring eg $100k USD (equivalent) in a bank account is stone age. Some folk have sizable superannuation funds (shares)
  12. I'm also interested as seems TM47 no longer required at CW. I obtained my first ever TM47 using my rental lease. Then provided that to person handling the COR . Nothing else. Most recent COR at CW I had basic pages of pp and rental contract etc however all she wanted was the TM47 that she just processed. Did them at same time same io.
  13. Moved topic to motor forum. OP note pinned topics. One has useful video
  14. You don't "exchange" your home country licience for a TDL. You use it a part of the application process. In the main avoids actual practical driving test. All spelt out in links I posted. They also outline various documents required. Here is handy thread https://aseannow.com/topic/1230658-thai-driving-licence/ Handy link https://motogirlthailand.com/riding-thailand/
  15. Understandable. Many married folk while able to obtain annual extensions based on marriage opt for based on retirement. Can depend to some extent on which immigration office. For those that can do monthly income method thinking based on retirement a good option. Keeping 800k in bank tied up (funds in bank method) not nice deal at all. Everyone is different. While it may seem trivial to some, I would not be happy with the home visit etc. Bit off topic as the OP is doing visa exempt to live in Thailand ongoing when extensions from a non O based on marriage is easy option.
  16. Oversized font from a post removed. Further posts regarding various names for certificate of residence will be removed..Off topic
  17. Read other posts. Start with @Rob Browder couple of posts above. Also nonsense posts about COR 2 Your posts are off topic.
  18. In that case thinking METV is good fit. Let the METV validity run out prior to marriage and do a visa exempt entry. That could even be a border bounce. Assume you are aware that if you reenter Thailand (last time on valid METV you will be stamped in for another 2 months.
  19. Stop. You are wrong. Also re your posts "COR 2" Google COR 2 Thailand and see how that works for you. While at it google "LOR Thailand" and see how that works out. Then google COR Thailand. Pic attached of AseanNow threads. Many more. I posted link to a thread earlier. You are confused.
  20. Certainly an option however marriage to Thai could change things depending on when the date to marry. You can change from visa exempt entry to non O marriage in Thailand at any time.
  21. No. Have a read of attached thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1316076-kor-ror-2-for-non-o-marriage-extension/ The vast majority of web sites, forum posts etc refer to "certificate of residence" Not to be confused with similar doc for farang in Thailand with Permanent Resident status"
  22. Not in my book. When you enter on a tourist visa and stamped in for 60 days your "visa" is gone (used). You have a "permit" a permission of stay. Currently for visa exempt entry that will be 60 days and a reentry permit can protect that permission of stay
