OP....your friend did not change from non O-A to non O. He was using extension from a non O-A based on retirement to extensions from a non O-A based on marriage. He can always change what the extension is based on. He can change back to extension based on retirement however that has a health insurance requirement. He can only switch to non O by exiting Thailand to kill off non O-A Then reenter visa exempt and obtain a non O at his immigration office. Subsequent extension based on retirement does not require insurance.

It's not clear (to me) what the OP has done regarding the transfers. At times refers to transfers in the future. Oct 23 to Oct 24. Or does he mean that he has been doing 65k transfers from Oct 22. I'm interested in this as I also wish to change at some point to income method after many years using money in bank method. No. You don't understand that when dealing with immigration directly without agent for your next extension it is clear that you used an agent. The financials are checked retrospectively. Meaning they look at you bank statements for previous 12 months. Also without embassy letter unless you have already done 12 months of transfers then that is not an option . How many transfers of 65k per month have you done since current extension application. My guess is Zero,?

Flight to Vientiane not cheap. You can fly to Udon Thani and minibus to Nong Khai. From there you have short...ish trip to Vientiane. Udon airport is not long drive to friendship bridge. Straight level road.

What status do you currently have in Thailand Do you plan to apply for non O visa in Thailand? Does you embassy provide income letter? Monthly transfers need to come from abroad.

He was meaning "certificate of residence" At CW it costs 200b and is mailed out within 2 weeks. It's used for such things as opening bank account, TDL etc. To obtain one at CW requires you to have made 90 day report.

Strange. Anyway you can apply for address report 14 days prior to due date. At CW they have appointments available for 90 day report. I did one recently. Very helpful io. You could consider making an appointment with whatever proof of address you have. Given your post about your condo purchase not at this time complete. I really cannot give reliable advice. Hopefully @BritTim Can provide more clarity. Is your next 90 day report due prior to annual extension.

The OP has been on annual extensions. Now has changed address. A TM30 is required for change of address. Electric bill won't cut it
