There are examples of extensions from a 90 day stamp and extension eg to visit wife that takes stay past 90 days and TM47 not required.

I did it for over 6 months and in those days I was flying out/in Thailand every month. No problem . I actually never got it transferred, just waited till my next extension. Obviously make it easy for the io. I had it opened at reentry permit page.

You can travel with both passports. Just show the io your reentry permit in old pp upon any reentry to Thailand.

Not a lot of folk opt for non O-X. Be aware there is newish option available LTV. Current LONG thread about that. Another option is a non O based on retirement with annual extensions. Your wife can "piggyback" on your extensions as a dependent. Only you require funds held in Thai bank. Updated bankbook would be sufficient. Even if funds were not maintained the most likely result would be a warning. Have never read of the final stamp not given due to mistake of using the funds during the under consideration period

The point is .....the fact that certain immigration offices require a hand drawn map (eg CW) and some do not (eg Jomitien) is irrelevant. You provide what your particular office requires. No doubt as you did when previously dealing with CW..

Great for you at Jomtien. There are ~ 75 immigration offices and you laugh at folk reporting their requirements at local office. Your point? What would you do re map if living if in Bangkok or many other provinces that require a "hand drawn map" Rhetorical question...you would comply.

The bank at CW will know. You don't que for teller. You will deal with the clerks sitting at the desks. You hand over bank book and 200b Ask her to make 100b deposit also then do "bank letter" Also kindly ask for her to photocopy last page of bank Book. Put this photocopy with the other photocopy pages of bb. The other 100b is cost of bank letter. The bank letter is just proof that you are the account owner and balance at that time. There are photocopy, print, photos etc on level where the banks are

I certainly haven't read anything along those lines. As you suggest a SETV might be a better idea next time. That can also be extended by 30 days. Most folk apply for extension couple of weeks prior to expiry.
