  1. They do not require 72 hours in advance. As per usual it's lost in translation. @brewsterbudgen posted useful link earlier in thread. Here is cut and paste from that .... "The TDAC form can be completed in no earlier than 3 days before your planned entry into ThailandThe system will automatically open the calendar based on today's date, and you can then select an arrival date within the next three days"
  2. That means "up to 3 days in advance" You can do it day prior to flight. The shear volume of entries to Thailand would not allow for processing or verification. We have a previous model. The TM6 card. When was that information checked/verified
  3. It seems that some genius came up with idea to sync TM30 with TM47 after trip abroad. Subsequently required 90 day report in person and new TM30. Some offices made the TM30 optional. As they do.
  4. That has been mentioned. One of 2 things will happen. The option to being able to enter "Thailand" OR just put your passport country. I see that as a minor issue. I did a mock application and for country of residence I put my pp country. If address was required I would put my sister's joint or if I had no sister I would put made up address. Think of the old TM6 the address of where you stay is basically a nonsense. Again ...back to your average tourist not a lot remain in same location. Guessing for some the first night or two Bangkok then after that and after that they move about.
  5. It can't be an issue. If it was then the system would be fundamental floored. As pointed out. The vast majority of entries to Thailand are Tourists. Many of these guys obtain 30 day extension so an exit flight withing 60 days (visa exempt entry). So if TDAC require a flight out for many it will be ghost ticket
  6. Guess you make it up. I added that to previous post (edit). So with a border bounce just make up flight out within 60 days. Will be an issue if immigration want to see it. I'm just referring to the TDAC itself.
  7. You do one for every entry to Thailand. I mentioned border bounce in a previous post. So presumably you would do your TDAC couple of days prior to border run. As for entering Thailand visa exempt thinking details of flight out of Thailand within 60 days would be best option. Hopefully can be fictitious flight as many folk obtain extension or bounce
  8. Yes easy read. It points out that no option of "country of residence" being Thailand and some "modifications" will be along. Surely that would have been obvious. In addition for the expats living in Thailand and trip to home country or anywhere, most likely will not have an exit (return flight) from Thailand. If leaving it blank works fine. Doubt it.
  9. Read this statement of yours several times. It sums up your options very well.
  10. The OP (friend) was obtaining a Non O from visa exempt entry. At very least he will need a TM30. A lease would be handy.
  11. I guess some folk have done a mock run at the fill in "form" I just did (up to a point) Some minor issues: When it came to nationality I typed AU. Easy except it then auto filed +61 start of phone #. Could not change to Thai #. So put made up Oz cell # For address I put fictitious one and accepted. Asks for entry date, flight details etc. No problem however asks for departure information. (flight out) I'm one way as I live in Thailand. Nightmare on elm st #5 Edit: thread running on this in News forum
  12. Personally find this "registration" a joke. As stated earlier....most entries to Thailand are tourists. Even if a tourist was to enter and provide correct address on the TDAC what next. They move onto next place of short stay. The addresses, phone # etc can (and most likely will be) Fictitious. To make it even more laughable is that for the expats living ongoing in Thailand their addresses, phone # etc already in the system via extension records, TM47 and TM30 records etc.
  13. Keep in mind that most folk entering Thailand are tourists. They can write whatever they want. In my early days with the TM6 card.. For address in Thailand I write... NANA PLAZA Soi 4. Along with fictional phone # When in doubt make it up.
  14. When I finally got the online report to work (after doing one in person...) I posted about the experience and the fact I was in complete shock with online approval. Online reporting for me at CW has rarely been successful. Also previously they took up to couple of weeks or more.
  15. Just a suggestion. When I renewed pp (2024) ...I waited till my 90 day report window opened and did the "stamp transfer" then went to 90 report desk. The subsequent next report I did online with no issue.
  16. How will this work for border bounce. ".....aiming to provide convenience for all foreigners entering Thailand by air, land, or sea"
  17. This topic has been covered often. Now thread off topic. Thread closed.
  18. Off topic post removed. Further posts regarding passport requirement for banking removed.
  19. Click on link in the OP. Watch the short video. Mentions you will have QR code to present immigration. My guess is a watching a slow motion train wreck.
  20. Bit disappointing that all foreigners entering Thailand require this. As stated here..... "All passengers must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card" So those living here in Thailand with extensions of permission of stay and reentry permit still need all this nonsense. On top of TM30, TM47 etc
  21. My Bad. Yes I live in apartment. I don't like to trouble them however have adopted this M.O in recent years. What you outline re condos is correct. My Thai partner owns condos and yes currently has one farang school teacher and does a TM30 for him when asked. He requests it when exits Thailand and returns and when does new contract with school. It's a pain
  22. It's just what I have opted to do. Previously I had never done a TM30. So it's a Me thing. I personally opt to have my condo office provide me one days prior to attending for annual extension. Kitchen sink syndrome.
