  1. Your going in circles. In Bangkok you will need a residence certificate or letter from your embassy. The issue with residence certificate in Bangkok is that you are required to have made a 90 day report. Not possible on tourist visa. For other provinces they in the main these days also require a residence certificate however that can be provided by immigration with a lease or TM30. Money laundering laws have changed the landscape a lot. For those that require to open bank account quickly, perhaps on pathway from visa exempt entry to a non O , I suggest best option is to use an agent. Approx 3500baht.
  2. Move on. Some provinces will still open bank accounts perhaps with the "insurance catch" . Most places now ask for residence certificate. That's not possible in Bangkok on tourist visa but possible elsewhere.
  3. Short overstays not an issue . Note PE (elite visa) are sensitive to overstays. BTW to your earlier post re medical issue. It's a formal process to apply for extension based on medical reason.
  4. With respect won't even read the link. From a mug I disregard. (Not you the company) It's not an extension. However bottom line is it gives you 7 days to exit Thailand. It's granted after an application for extension (known to be rejected) is rejected and then the 7 day exit issued. Perhaps someone will post a pic .
  5. Google "Most visited places by tourists to Thailand " Bangkok #1
  6. It's not an extension. It is 7 days to get out of dodge. Issued after an application that will be rejected.
  7. You need to specify reason. For example if there is a medical issue you can obtain extension based on medical reason.
  8. You are mixing up visas with extensions amongst other things. Some correct posts in this thread by others have already explained that. Bottom line is if divorce occurs during an extension then the permission of stay becomes void on date of divorce. For a visa such as ME Non O marriage that visa remains valid regardless of divorce.
  9. Up to the immigration office. Have read where it's fine and others have requested new. Name your office and first hand report will follow
  10. When is that letter requested. You quoted a post concerning a 90 day stamp from a non O visa.
  11. Please cease. Your posts are incorrect. The ME Non O based on marriage would remain valid for it's duration. It is visa valid for 12 months. As mentioned previously that is very different to an extension from a non O marriage. When divorce occurs that extension is invalid. One option for those in that situation is to change reason to based on retirement. Of course not an option for those under 50.
  12. What are you talking about His non O was rejected for not having funds seasoned for 2 months which is a bogus made up rubbish by random io. So outline exactly what he needs to do. One option is to obtain 60 day extension to visit wife and then reapply. Brilliant....
  13. So rather than push the chest out what is your solution for the OP and poster above (Ningnong) Both those offices are making up their own rules. So you do what exactly? Don't say ring 1178
  14. I can't recall the immigration office (not Jomtien) but I'm sure I have read similar recent post to your experience. As has already been stated . The funds for the non O are required on day of application. Thinking you have options as mentioned in thread. Unfortunately prob have to suck it up and play their game. Personally I would have accepted the bribe alternative if it was on offer.
  15. Bit lost in translation. You can obtain a non O retirement in own country (in the main) So he wasn't suggesting a non O-A necessarily. Having stated that many consulates issuing non O retirement were requiring 90 day insurance.
  16. Sadly you can't avoid dealing with numbskulls. She is wrong but that doesn't help you. You could obtain a 60 day extension to visit wife (if you haven't used that as yet) If it was retirement you could just obtain the non O at another province however with the house visit (marriage) etc you might be best off with the 60 day extension.
  17. Depends how you entered Thailand. If visa exempt stamp of 45 days would be unlikely to be able to apply that early. Not really important you can still travel about and present a screenshot of TM30 for the province you are in to apply for 30 day extension
  18. The OP thread concerns Pattaya. Your experience elsewhere is completely irrelevant.
  19. Extension to visa exempt and tourist visa is 30 days. A border bounce will give you another 45 day stamp and that can be extended by 30 days. Regards definitive dates. That depends on when you exit Thailand on your current extension and of course when you reenter The new 45 day stamp (visa exempt) starts on entry to Thailand and a 30 day extension would be added to the expiry date of that 45 day stamp.
  20. OP, you are asking a 2 part question. When you apply for a non O based on retirement you will be given and under consideration period and pp handed straight back. You then return on stated date to receive non O retirement stamp.. Subsequently you apply for extension. At Jomtien the have you return the next day to collect your pp. Bit backward down there.
  21. As stated above by friendlyfarang....No issue to use 2 accounts. If they are with same bank they will do one bank letter with both accounts shown.
  22. It was a standard line that the io was using. For your entry when you plan to use agent for the non O retirement and subsequent extension you could consider obtaining a tourist visa. That would also give agent more time.
  23. Think "not rocket science" bit harsh. As it's a change of residence thinking he best attend immigration in new province or via mail. Obviously in person more bullet proof for his next annual extension.
  24. Boarding pass should be shown on arrival at airport to Thai immigration. Other than that it's not required. Obviously apart from baggage claim.
