  1. Have no idea of any sense in that post. If I was married I would most likely choose to obtain annual ME non O based on marriage every year. I would enjoy the trips every 3 months to Saigon.
  2. The fine will be 2000baht as mentioned in the thread.
  3. Your previous history is irrelevant. You state that you entered Thailand with a non O retirement. That gives you a 90 day stamp. In the last 30 days you can apply for 12 month extension based on retirement. The 800k will need to have been in the bank for 2 months prior to day of application. You need to decide where you are living for immigration purposes. Either HH or Bangkok. The immigration office will require you to show where you are living either with a TM30 or lease or both.
  4. Walk in available at Savannakhet. You are obtaining an extra 15 days obtaining tv over visa exempt entry. Why the need for tourist visa. I could understand that if you were obtaining tv in eg Saigon.
  5. No need to have a valid visa. Any permission of stay can be protected by buying reentry permit. The expiry of the reentry permit will match the expiry of current POS.
  6. Just to be clear for others Single reentry permit is 1000baht. You can pay 200baht extra "service fee" if immigration does the paperwork and photo for you.
  7. Extensions for both tourist visa and visa exempt entry is 30 days.
  8. There isn't time limit but you will need to attend in person for next report and pay fine 2k
  9. That's different. Yes, I previously obtained multi entry 3 month tourist visas to Vietnam (currently not available. Don't know why) and received the "approval letter". This is different as it's eVisa with link posted by @Caldera above.
  10. Exactly. Many folk doing the "enter visa exempt or tv followed by extension (30 days) followed by non O. The first 12 month extension starts their 90 count My USA friends last Xmas entered visa exempt + 30 day extension+ covid extension. Clearly longer than 90 days. 90 day report not required.
  11. Any reports of process time? Organizing trip for myself and friends from Oz hence we all need 30 day tv. Trip is start of Feb so I'm thinking apply in new year?
  12. @Andrew Dwyer post above from Tod confirms the info that sent you in pm earlier.
  13. They did say it was "temporary" and only suspended at airports to speed up immigration control upon entry. Many of us shake our heads. For expats they have our 90 day reports confirming address. As for most tourists they move around a lot and an arrival card seems foolish. Hopefully 90 day reports will one day be eliminated. Serves zero purpose.
  14. As you point out ...every immigration is different. I think some offices (eg yours) do it as a favor. IMO the 90 report has nothing to do with extensions and especially now with the improved online system the immigration office should just deal with the extension.
  15. The OP is already in Thailand and intending to obtain a non O in Thailand. No insurance required.
  16. There is no space for TM6 on the new online form
  17. Damn ridiculous imo. Of course that can be all cancelled as soon as visa issued.
  18. Read reports of occuring at Nong Khai friendship bridge. One option to avoid long van/bus trips would be fly Bangkok to Udon Thani return. Minivan from airport to Nong Khai over bridge and straight back. That's possible. BTW it's a border bounce. A visa run means obtaining a visa and that's an overnight option at the very least.
  19. There is however very rarely would that be requested and even then in a situation of repeated consecutive entries visa exempt and the immigration officer looking for reason to refuse entry. The OP,s daughter won't have an issue.
