Can you point to ONE report that has accepted couple of months of income for first extension based on retirement. If an immigration office exists that does that I think a lot of business coming in their direction.

Any problem when stop using visa agent?
DrJack54 replied to mart700's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
In your opinion as naive as that is. -
Left field question regarding an carrier name "Bamboo Airlines" What a SUS name. They provide flights from Saigon to Melb (cheap) Anyone heard of them?
-
Up to you as they say. I haven't read one report for first extension retirement ....where couple of month transfers have been accepted.
-
You are optimistic. Won't do any good.
-
Stated earlier. 12 months of transfers. To put sharper edge on uj post above ...I can't recall one post where someone has been able to obtain a non O extensions with couple of month transfers without income letter from embassy.
-
As stated earlier you will need to obtain the non O retirement and subsequent extension using money in the bank method.
-
You will need to use money in bank method. Showing 2 months of transfers for income method won't work. Does your embassy provide income letter?

So had return flight Melbourne to Bangkok and return Bangkok to Melbourn. I missed the first trip Melb to Bangkok Does that mean the return is also lost. To my surprise the return flight still appears on my Jetstar "next trips" Mind you the Melb to Bangkok was only yesterday Sept 8.. TIA
-
Indeed Jetstar has the policy you outline. Strangely many from Europe do not. OP, is flying from UK. I stated this in my post...... "There are many threads regarding your options for onward flight. Won't outline in this post." He can use "onwardflight.com" is just one option.
-
Check in as normal. The airline may wish to see onward ticket within 30 days You ticket out in 48 days should be acceptable. Especially when you explain intention to obtain extension. There are many threads regarding your options for onward flight. Won't outline in this post. When you land in Thailand you just present at passport control. The immigration officer will see that you have no visa and stamp you in for 30 days. Edit: in earlier posts I mentioned 45 days. That starts Oct 1. My mistake you arrive Sept so 30 days + 30 day extension
-
Enter thailand visa exempt (45 days) and obtain 30 day extension. 1900baht. No visa required

It's as simple as Rogue immigration office. Plenty of examples at different immigration offices. -
TBH haven't posted as didn't want to be too self serving. My recovery was going great guns. Bit slower than perhaps a younger guy and better body size. Actually I went to hospital today. Saw 3 different doctors. More X rays and blood tests. They have put the blow out down to over doing the walking. Just prior I was pushing it with walking holding stick in air. Had departure flight to Oz and everything mapped out Aug 17. Of course missed that. I had bleeding I to muscle which I must say is extreme pain. After that had lot of bruising in unrelated areas and that was to do with anticoagulant. There is also small hairline crack again they put down to too much exercise. My walking with stich prior to blow-up was progressing well. Now without stick huge limp and only take few steps. With stick can walk around now. Pic of bruising attached just for anyone interested is some things that can be thrown your way. Other areas were similar. Today did not use wheelchair in hospital. Good news is from the very start to now I have have VERY mild pain apart from the bleeding blowout. Next trip to Oz in 11 weeks so hopefully can make that. Shout out to PHYATHAI 1. Fantastic hospital and staff.

Any problem when stop using visa agent?
DrJack54 replied to mart700's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I don't use an agent never have. I used money in bank method for extensions retirement. When people ask for advice on use of agents. I try and assist. When people ask how to obtain (for example) non O and extentions without agent, I outline the process.- 76 replies

OP, you are starting over. The non O is a new start. 800k on day of application for your non O and then after money has been in bank for 2 months obtain your extension. Zero issues with immigration or agent. -
Non Immigrant Voluntary Visa
DrJack54 replied to stament's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Why not outline what type of volunteering you have in mind. If it's for visa purposes just state that. If it's to do volunteering work in a specific field I would have thought the NGO would answer any questions. -
Bank Requirements for Non-O Based on Marriage
DrJack54 replied to EdwardM's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Your plan is fine. Obtaining a non O marriage in Bangkok requires the 400k in bank account on day of application. The added issue is that you require 15 days remaining on your permission of stay. Keep in mind you have 2 avenues to obtain more time. One is 30 day extension to your tourist visa and the other is 60 day extension to visit wife. Some advice in thread is that you can open account with assistance from wife. My recommendation is to use agent to facilitate this as it takes very little time. Approx cost 5k -
