  1. You can enter visa exempt and if you can transfer 800k from your country into your Thai bank you can then apply for non O retirement. That will give you a 90 day stamp. In the last 30 days with funds in the bank for 2 months apply for 12 month extension https://aseannow.com/topic/1282251-visa-exempt-to-non-o-retirement-dates/ In this next link my post has 3 threads links that cover the process. https://aseannow.com/topic/1292470-applying-for-non-o-visa/
  2. 25-30k baht correct for non O with 12 month extension. You require a bank account agent can open approx 4k . Plenty good agents in Pattaya. Check out Maneerat Soi post office.
  3. #25 on this list of forms. Downloadable links. https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=3202
  4. Your question about insurance has been covered above. You can purchase reentry permits at immigration anytime or at airport on day of departure. 1000b single reentry and 3800b for multiple. You won't have any reason to deal with immigration so for you obtaining at airport good fit.
  5. You should attend immigration and obtain 30 day extension to avoid overstay. 1900baht. Immigration are not interested in return ticket. Your airline at departure will/may wish to see onward flight. You can explain your intention to obtain an extension to cover the extra few days OR you could google "onwardflight.com" and purchase rent a flight.
  6. I posted above to leave without extension and return visa exempt. When return apply for non O marriage at immigration. 2000b. That will give you a 90 day stamp. In the last 30 days apply for 12 month extension. 1900b. Not difficult.
  7. Please. We are all aware that the signs at Thai immigration state "visa extension" The fact that visas cannot be extended we just accept as "lost in translation" Permission of stay can be extended. Thermology important in some situations. You are now on ignore.
  8. Depends what visa are you looking for.. Read my previous post. A ME Non O marriage does not require funds in Thai bank account. It's a visa valid for 12 months. I have posted info already. That visa is not available at Vientiane immigration.
  9. Silly idea. You would be better off applying for multiple entry Non O marriage from Savannakhet. Each entry is 90 day stamp but can obtain 60 day extension to visit wife
  10. Did you read threads... My post couple above .... Either way as has been pointed out in the thread ....with a valid visa or reentry permit you do not require onward/return flight.
  11. That will be much easier to open bank account there as compared to for example Bangkok. You still may require a certificate of residence however having Thai wife and house that should be simple. The bank account only required if you enter visa exempt and want to apply for 12 month extension. That is not clear.
  12. That's a standard message however should be short turn around. Back to the Thai bank ... Regardless if you enter with visa or visa exempt opening a bank account is not simple these days. Where do you plan to live and hence obtain non O and extension.
  13. Not in any particular order. Forget the return flight if you end up flying visa exempt. You can buy a rent a ticket for onward flight . Google "onward flight.com" cheap. I will post this and then add links to process re enter visa exempt and obtain non O marriage. Not difficult. I assume you have Thai bank account? https://aseannow.com/topic/1284614-change-visa-exempt-entry-to-non-o-spouse-visa-in-cw/
  14. So for clarity... What happened? Did you open a bank account? What is your status in Thailand. What were the requirements to open account in Chiang Rai region?
  15. Nonsense. To give accurate advice you need to know exact status of permission of stay in Thailand. Clearly you don't understand.
  16. Use one of the 3 banks that don't have small limit transfer using WISE. Suggest Bangkok or Kasikorn.
  17. Many have already corrected you. Your statement is Wrong.
  18. Didn't really understand your first post and also this post. Not being pedantic but there is no such thing as a "Retirement Visa". You possibly have a Non O-A or extensions from that or extensions from a non O . Either way as has been pointed out in the thread ....with a valid visa or reentry permit you do not require onward/return flight.
  19. So let's take it to the extreme. You fly from Europe to eg Vietnam. After all you have visa exempt entry to that country. You then apply for eVisa non O-A while you are staying in Vietnam... Subsequently fly into Thailand with a non O-A. It's a basic error that was overlooked with introduction of eVisa . Quite comical really. Some visas eg non O-A and METV had requirements to be in home country or country where you have permanent residence. Good luck with your plan.
  20. Current thread attached. Boring read but outlines procedure Jomtien. Suggest that if you do it at Jomtien best to obtain extension separately.
  21. You need to do the stamp transfer at CW. Filing a TM30 at CM will not help. Appointment system works well. Make sure you print hard copy of confirmation email and take to immigration. https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=20131
  22. I never understand the threads where OP is vague. Skip typing you are not UK and state your pp country. Perhaps someone from same country has recently obtained pp renewal and can update process time. I'm Oz. That info of zero interest to anyone.
  23. Have you checked current process time for your pp nationality.
